I’ve been here twice for the same reason. My dog had an allergic reaction to a vaccine. Once was at the end of 2023 and the second time was February 2026. Both times, the staff was kind, attentive and quick with their service. Yesterday I assume there were 3 people working and all of them played an equal part in making us feel like our dog mattered. They checked his vitals yesterday, noticed swelling was going down and didn’t charge us for the care and attention they offered. I hope I don’t have to take my dog to the emergency room again, but if I do I know exactly where to go if I want quality service by people who genuinely care.

I believe my husband posted a review that I sent him but just in case: We are so thankful for Phoenix Veterinary Referral & Emergency, and Dr. Terry in particular! Our sweet Pomeranian recently came down with a lower GI issue that gave us a big scare. We had 4 vet visits in one week between our primary care and PVRE. Dr. Terry spent so much time with us and our girl. Her attention to detail, explanation of diagnosis and treatment, and care and compassion for our situation was unmatched. She even called us personally to check in on her and to talk through an update to medication following a mild allergic reaction. Dr. Terry is a gem. I’d love if she could be the primary care doctor for my pets, but it’s clear that her skill set and expertise is much needed in an ER/specialty setting. I am already telling my friends & family that I have a place for them to bring their pets in an emergency, even though we hope they don’t have to! Thank you Dr. Terry, Angela, Sophie, and entire staff. We appreciate your care and kindness during our time of need. 🙏🏻

Phoenix Veterinary arizona where they put down my cat ninja she was a black and white cat i named her ninja because she had a black face mask on her face i love her so much. They took care of her and let me say goodbye and hold her. She was my baby. I will never forget her or the lady that helped me say goodbye. I am 9 years old and this happened when I was 7. Thank you guys for everything. My mom and I drove passed you today that's why I wanted to remember this. 1-18-26

We had an unfortunate situation with our dog Daisy involving a poisoning scenario. She was not in a good state at all. Loss of motor function of rear legs and blindness onsetting fast. The people at Phoenix Veterinary were very helpful & accommodated us immediately, they were friendly, genuine and honest about the scenario. Everything was thoroughly explained & they did everything they said they would do. They take payment up front (fair enough) on the basis that anything they haven’t needed to do will be refunded. When we picked up our dog, she was so much better, she made almost ideal progress over 24 hours and when we picked her up she was happy, staff were happy too, they gave here a back scratch and said goodbye and true to their word; refunded approx 25% of the bill for tests & procedures that were not required given her progress. 10/10 for service and honesty. You and your pet are in very good hands with this establishment. Highly recommended (someone who very rarely does reviews).
