If your pet takes prescription food I would recommend not coming to this location unless you have extra time and patience. I came 3 weeks ago to get my dog’s kibble and was informed they were no longer using the book system and instead have upgraded to a barcode system. I was told to go to the vet clinic they have on site to get the barcode. I went to the clinic and waited over 20mins while they helped other guests just to be told they wouldn’t be making a phone call to confirm the prescription because it takes too long (anytime I’ve called my vet they answer right away/ I was the only person left in the lobby at this point) and to come in with a copy of the prescription. I came today with a copy and was told they were unable to make the barcode due to it not being one of their regular working days and it’s their on call vets on site. I attempted to still checkout at the front and was denied due to not having the barcode. The cashier I first spoke with was understanding and sweet and stated this was not the first time she had heard of the clinic being unwilling to make the barcode and offered to get her manager. When the manager came over she stated she needed assistance from the person above her. When I finally was able to speak with the person who was supposed to help she was rude and impatient. She never apologized for the inconvenience and said I’ve already been given my answer and they can’t help me without the barcode. I explained I had a coupon for the kibble that expires and I’ve already attempted to get the barcode and was basically denied. She said the clinic is separate from the store so she’s unable to help me with that issue. Overall I do not recommend this store based on these last two experiences. Moving forward I will be utilizing PetSmart and Chewy to avoid the headache.

I took my parents 13lb dog to get a haircut. My disabled dad accompanied me to get his dog haircut. The dog has been to Petco groomers and the vet for vaccinations for years and there was never any problem. The girl working at Petco groomers 2/21 put the leash so tight around the small dog that he nipped her hand to where my dad and I could not take the leash off. She refused to take it off when she was the one to put it on that tight and automatically pointed to her manager that he did not past the test and being accepted if I have any questions. Looks like they’ll just hire anyone even those that could care less about animals. She was careless, cold and short- her advice was “try another day”. Her behavior showed this so if you love your animals, please don’t bring them to this location.

Stopped by today pick up food for my cat and Les was our cashier and we were trying to get our gift card to work and we were having issues with it working and so he called for backup because he needed assistance (which is completely normal) and there was another client in line and wanted help with checkout to not extend the other guests wait and someone named Ryan came up to the counter huffing and puffing and rolling his eyes and seriously spoke to Les extremely rude and was speaking down to him like he was stupid and in that moment I felt so bad for Les because the tone and manner he spoke was not how you speak infront of clients or just employees in general. All Les wanted was assistance to complete the transaction. I would really encourage your store addressing the attitude problem with Ryan. And I’m sure this review will get taken down because I named dropped and that’s fine.

Amber handled my exchange of natural balance sweet potato and venison dog food. I noticed the kibble size and texture changed when opening the last bag. When my dog had diarrhea for more than a week, my suspicions of something being wrong with this bag of food grew stronger. I cut open the new bag of sweet potato and bison natural balance dog food to show amber what the kibble should look like and that it had changed. Watch out for your pet. This food costs $80/bag.
