The vets at this clinic are always so kind to my kitties. They are thorough and listen to my concerns.

I had a very disappointing experience with Banfield Pet Hospital. I initially paid $218 to enroll in their Active Care plan during my first visit, but it was never clearly explained to me that this was a 1-year contract. There was no transparency about the long-term commitment or the financial obligation I was signing up for. On top of that, when I decided to cancel, I was charged an additional $361 just to get out of the contract. Altogether, I ended up paying nearly $600 just to have my cat diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. That’s an outrageous amount for such a basic service, especially when I could have gone to another veterinary clinic for far less. This experience felt extremely misleading and frustrating. I would not have signed up if the terms had been clearly explained upfront. I strongly recommend others fully understand what they’re agreeing to before enrolling, or consider going to a different vet altogether.

They misdiagnosed my dog not using his back leg as a torn tendon. Another vet figured out it was valley fever. I think my cat had valley fever too, but misdiagnosed her with stomach cancer due to a growth. She had valley fever symptoms and no cancer symptoms. I was new to Phoenix so I didn't realize to ask for a test for valley fever. Once I knew my dog had valley fever, they provided short term medicine. I had to switch vets to get proper treatment. I don't know why they ignore valley fever when it's so common. Now, my cat is dead, and since I've researched valley fever symptoms, I realize what she had.

Took my old dog here to be euthanized, because he’s old and has bad teeth and is in pain. I should have cancelled the second I found out the vet was in a pets smart. The vet really wanted to extend his life, didn’t look at his pained area or take any tests or even examine them for more then 2 minutes. They Just recommended throwing money at an old dog and made the whole situation awkward and an awful situation worse. Now my dog is going to suffer for another day and I’m taking him to a real vet tomorrow, luckily my regular vet is able to squeeze me in since this is an emergency. The front desk and assistants were nice at least. ***Update*** After taking my dog to a real vet, they listened to my concerns and actually inspected my dog and found a tumor in his mouth; which Banfield would have been able to find if they spent more then 2 seconds looking at my dog. The real vet was able to sedate my dog and put my extremely old dog out of their misery. I am so happy I have them.

Not very helpful people don't ever get their contract for the wellness they don't explain it correctly they don't help you when your pet passes away you're still liable for something that wasn't explained it's very sad having to continuously pay and reminded that your pet is no longer here
