Brought my dog in for a nail trim. The person that took care of her was very nice and friendly.

The ladies took special care of my 6 month old puppies showing them great patience and love to help them get over their intial fears of being in a new place. They were so understanding with needing to move slow with them. Then a pickup time my girls were so happy to see me but they also had already become friendly with the ladies that took care of them. Thank you from Vidia and Tinkerbell.

Called earlier to book an appointment at this location. We have a 40 pound golden doodle who (as most doodle owners know) gets some matting when her coat gets long. Our dog is a little over a year so she is high energy. We have taken her to other groomers who adore her and say that she never has any issues. I bathe her and brush her at home and she always sits calmly for it. She’s been getting bathed since the day we brought her home so she knows the routine. I was excited to try Petco because I love petco for all of their services. Especially since now they added the “Doodle Detangler”. I explained to the groomer that she did have a few areas of matting and that is why I am bringing her into get it done professionally because I try my best but I am not a professional groomer. The groomer examined her paws and body in which our dog (who I remind you is high energy, excited around new people, and still pretty puppy) turned around and placed her mouth near the groomers hands (what most puppies do). The groomer refused to take her as a client. Our dog has never ever shown signs of aggression nor has ever bit anyone. She also stated she could not take her as a client due to her knots near where her collar rubs that “could not be brushed out”. She came over with a tiny comb and barely brushed her knots. I thought that I booked the Doodle Detangler option…. I was very nice and understanding and asked the groomer what she recommended since clearly my dog does need to be professionally groomed. The groomer informed me that petco recommends we “take her to the vet.” I’m not sure how the vet will help with my puppy’s knots. Long story short… do not advertise a new “Doodle Detangler” option if you in fact do not accept doodles.

The ladies there were very understanding of my Carl, as he doesn’t like water. They were kind and efficient.

I am so happy that I found Katrina at Petco in Riverview Shopping Center. She grooms my little terrier Izzy beautifully, exactly like the photos I showed her when I first came in. Her nail trims are great, too. Izzy loves Katrina which tells me something! I would recommend Petco Grooming and especially Katrina for anyone looking for a quality, kind, reasonably priced groomer.
