For a while this chain of stores looked and acted like it going out of business. But they made some definite changes. Employees greet you and ask what you need. They put pet food on sale every few months in store, even Purina Pro Plan (in store only not online) The shelving is stocked again like they want your business now. Sign up for the email that is where you will see the 20% in store sales for the hard to get brands

All I wanted was a relatively cheap dog collar since I left Roscoe's at home and boy was I disappointed... Half their inventory was missing. Bare hooks everywhere .... What's going on? See photos. Might not be the stores fault but man at least put up a sign apologizing and an explanation?

I would be very cautious about taking your pet to the female vet at this location. While in the waiting room the vet made some disturbing comments to a dog owner that was getting a service. The small dog was very sweet and behaving well, at least what I could see. The vet went to administer a shot and actually said “if your dog bites me I am going to report your dog to the authorities”. I was shocked to overhear this. If that’s the attitude and professionalism of this vet then maybe she is in the wrong business. I can guarantee that I no longer will be taking my pet to this location. Pathetic!

If I could give zero stars, I would. I brought my dog in yesterday to the vaccine clinic for one shot. Before I even spoke to the “vet” ( Dr. Danica Dahlquist), she looked at my dog and said “if your dog bites me, I will report it to the city.” She says this while my dog is sitting there wagging her tail. The vet proceeds to not be helpful and making rude comments about my dog. She wouldn’t even give her the vaccine, I had to. I will never support Petco again. If you let needs a vaccine, spend the money elsewhere!

I came in here tonight in the hopes of buying a pet for my daughter. We have been researching small pets for a while and wanted to see some up close and make a decision. The first gal that helped us was friendly, not very knowledgeable or helpful but was pleasant. She opened each tank and allowed us to look at the hamsters/Guinea pig. A second employee came over, seemingly annoyed that the first employee was helping us (the first employee defensively said “they are wanting to buy one but wanted to see them first!”) to which the second employee Molly started telling me that if these pets were for my daughter, it was a bad idea. These pets are not for kids, they will bite, hard, break the skin, draw blood. We can’t pull our finger away or it will make it worse and the pet will go flying across the room.
So I said fine, let’s look at fish. To which she told me all the reasons not to get fish as well. I’ll need large tanks, the fish grow really large, they are aggressive, they needed weekly/every other week cleaning. We wouldn’t be able to take any home today. It would be days or a week before we could get them.
I finally had enough. We left and will bring our business somewhere that the employees are knowledgeable and aren’t talking us out of owning a pet. Obviously I will be the care taker of this pet and would supervise my daughter with her new pet. I had hamsters and fish growing up. My husband had Guinea pigs, we aren’t novices. So, we will go elsewhere and spend our money there.
