I’ve been coming to the Banfield in East Mesa for a few years now. My pug loves the staff and they always are so caring and kind. My pug can be pretty sassy when he gets shots or nail trims but they always find ways to get what they can done for him. Didn’t even think twice to take our second pup in to them.

I had an appointment at Banfield Pet Hospital for 2:45 pm. When I arrived, the staff told me it was a drop-off appointment, which was never communicated to me. I made it clear that I don’t do drop-offs—especially after a previous experience at another Banfield where my dog was left unattended with his leash on, chewed through it, and ended up needing emergency care.
Despite my appointment confirmation, they insisted it was a drop-off and said the doctor was too busy to see my dog. No one called to let me know about this change before I arrived. This kind of miscommunication and lack of accountability is unacceptable, especially when it comes to a pet’s care and safety.

I've had Banfield wellness program for three consecutive dogs over several years. I've always had great experience with the staff and the dental benefits for optimum plans are a great savings. I had one dog pass away from cancer about halfway thru an annual plan and you do have to pay for the full year, but overall, I have saved a lot of money using their wellness coverage. Every vet I've seen has been excellent and caring.

When you have posted hours on your website, BE OPEN! This is RIDICULOUS! I have been calling when it says you are open , when no one is answering the phone. So I called PetSmart. They said they were notified that they were going to be closed. Irresponsible for a pet hospital!

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
