- JPJackie PowellOct 26, 20251.0Paid for a puppy vaccine package with vetco and when I went for the second round of vaccines and dewormer was told because my dog had a couple days of diarrhea after his first round of shots and dewormer that I would have to drive to a full service vetco to continue with the vaccinations. Asked to speak to a supervisor since that was not reasonable. One, a full service vetco is an hour away and two, diarrhea is a normal side effect for vaccines and dewormer. In our case it was cleared up within two days and completely normal. The girl checking us in was obviously lacking simple knowledge of this and was told key words and what to respond. When asked for a supervisor she told me she had no supervisor. Clearly she is not the owner and operator for vetco clinics. After she walked away several times comes back with a cell phone and someone on the line saying they are the supervisor. Explained what the issue was and was told the same thing. She said she would issue a refund for the services I paid for that were not completed and that the lady checking is in would give her my information. After verifying information I asked the girl for her supervisor's contact information incase I did not hear back from her and was told she could not give out personal info. I explained that her supervisor should have a business phone number and that is what I was asking for. A petco manager gave me the customer service number and apologized for the inconvenience. Was told that vetco was not owned by petco. A short search, I found out that vetco is a brand infact owned by petco. Petco Health and Wellness Co Inc. I feel that if you are performing a vaccine clinic you should be aware of the difference between normal side effects and concerning side effects. If the person checking in does not possess the knowledge, he/she should be able to check with the vet technician if there is a question. It is really troubling that I can not get a straight answer regarding a refund for the services I paid for and was refused to receive because of uninformed unprofessional customer service.
