Focusing on the 3320 Stockton Hill Rd location for specific store experiences with staff. I brought my mother to Petco in Kingman, AZ yesterday to purchase a particular dog food that's only found at that location in the entire city. Gentle Giant. As my wife has an account with Petco and we shop there regularly, I learned how you can order a product that happens to be out of stock and delivered to your home residence in a few days. So my mother and I were at the register ordering a bag to be delivered to her address because the dog food was out of stock on the shelf. My mother didn't have an account set up, so we used my wife's account. We needed to change the shipping address. Then when prompted to pay the charge, at first glance, it went through saying, "approved." However, the computer immediately froze and wouldn't finalize the sale. Another associate stepped in (possibly the shift supervisor) and said, "let's start over on another register," since the first register was frozen. No problem. She asked for a phone number. She then asked if the billing number on my mother's debit card matched the billing number on my wife's account... I replied, "no, we could open an account for my mother!?," and she looked at me as if I insulted her! She then asked the same question, so a gave the same answer. Again, she looked at me with "daggering eyes," as if I was insulting her again. So, she repeats the same question a third time and I was certainly answering again, showing frustration!! Next thing, some other random guy approaches asking me to stay calm, mother looks very confused as she witnessed, and the lady (with daggering eyes) repeats the same question, once more!!! By this time I'm thinking that she's thinking my mother is my wife (because of her daggering eyes) and in a frustrated voice, I say, "would you like to open an account with my mother?" But my mother looks like she thinks she getting scammed after her card showed an approval, yet the computer froze, and CAPT'N SAVIOR (the guy who stepped in) tells me to "calm down or leave!!" So I said "I'll leave," and begin walking towards the exit, but he stands in my way, also giving me daggering eye's, as tensions are obviously building between he & I!! I say, "get out of my way," but he takes a few seconds in doing so! NO KIDDING!! When he stepped aside, I proceeded to exit the store when he decided to blurt out, "you need to learn how to behave!!!" Um... that just turned me right around to walk back into his face to tell him to "not tell people how to behave, and your customer service ethic is fouled!!!" He tells me "his sister died last week and he'll 'drop me, right here!!!'"
By this time, the lady is screaming "LEAVE, I'M CALLING THE POLICE!!!"
I'm screaming "MY CONDOLENCES TO YOUR SISTER, STEP OUTSIDE AND 'DROP ME!!!"' I even told them I'm reporting them, which I did, and have a pass code & reference key number to an investigation I opened. It was all caught on Petco's cameras, and I'm certainly going to never forget this experience, based on how unnecessary it actually became! I asked my mother to drive as we left because I was extremely enraged by that point! I advised their corporate to watch the camera to see them stand in front of me as I aggravatingly tried exiting, then threatened, not only by integrity, but then physically, YES, I TURNED AROUND!! Nevertheless, that's the experience I had and anyone can freely watch the Petco's cameras to see how it looked!!! That man & women need to be fired. My wife said we could spend an extra 5 dollars with Chewy, instead of stepping foot in that location, ever again!
