I was very disappointed with the vet. He was short, dismissive and seemed like he wanted to be anywhere but there. I tried having a conversation but he just barked a bunch of orders like I wasn’t supposed to question a single thing. My pet is healthy, loved and very cared for. She has her vet visit twice a year. But since we moved states I was trying to find a new clinic. It should NOT be this one.

I brought my new puppy in for her vaccines and was turned away by a vet assistant who said puppies must wait several days to a week after being rehomed before being vaccinated. This is not standard veterinary guidance, vaccines are based on age and health, not how long a puppy has been in a new home.
My puppy was not examined, her temperature wasn’t checked, and no assessment was done. I was simply told to come back later.
This was the last available appointment of the day, and it felt like we were turned away because the clinic was busy and near closing time rather than for any medical reason.
I left concerned and will be taking my puppy elsewhere for proper care.

We took our dog here for a perceived eye condition and she was prescribed antibiotics eye drops. The doctor said to come back in 3 days if it gets worse, which it did. It got significantly worse and she was in a lot of pain, barely able to open her eye. I came back trying to schedule an appointment for the same day and I couldn’t even get past the receptionist. The vet did not want to see her because we “hadn’t given the antibiotics enough time” to work. I said, surely after 3 days it shouldn’t be getting worse? I said we were even told to come back in 3 days if it gets worse. The vet again (via communication with reception) said there’s nothing he can do because according to him, we didn’t give the antibiotics enough time to work. He said we need to wait a full 7 days and then come back if it’s not any better. Keep in mind, this is after 6 doses. I of course know this is not true and it even goes against the advice of the original vet who had seen her. I took her elsewhere and immediately was told she has a severe tooth root abscess and now needs surgery tomorrow. Very disappointed in this experience and dismissiveness and glad I trusted my gut.

Our first visit to Vetco was amazing. The staff was caring and attentive that we felt at ease and not nervous at what to expect. Our questions were answered and great medical care given to our pet. Will continue receiving services.
