Belle my new diabetic cat was treated by the doc who's staff didn't tell me to wait 30 minutes after she ate to give her the insulin and she kept puking up her food and going low glucose. Sensors expensive and they put the 2nd one on her wrong and I burned away 50.00. I am on a strict budget but he was inflexible with his help and when I tried to talk to the office and him about it they ignored me all together. I asked for her records for a second opinion and they cut off her script for diabetic low carb food. Money is more important than your animals. Be warned.

I have taken my senior pet here multiple times as we have the VetCo total care coverage and I wish I had changed coverage sooner. This location has what I call a “Victor Frankenstein” complex where they are condescending, egotistical, and emotionally manipulative to pet owners by jacking up the list of recommended treatments and medications because they know how emotionally attached pet owners are and how much they will more than likely spend on their pet. Unfortunately we had to make the extremely difficult decision to put our pet down as he is not responding well to the medication that was prescribed by another vet (we needed an emergency appointment and this location didn’t have any available openings). Instead the staff informed us that unless the vet decided it was his time they wouldn’t do a proper end of life treatment and would instead put my pet on proper medication. I, as my pets caretaker, have seen them struggle and decline over days and if I have to make the call to ask for end of life treatment trust that I have tried everything in my power to avoid this. I understand doctors have a medical knowledge that I don’t but I don’t appreciate being questioned, guilt tripped and told “not all pets are ready for end of life care”. Is it really fair to the animal to pump them with medication just because you CAN? This is already an extremely difficult time for my family and my pet, the added “we know better than you” tone was extremely unnecessary and disgusting.

Brought in a stray cat who ended up not being chipped and we wanted to keep her. The vet couldn't get out the door fast enough AND told us she was pregnant and in the last trimester (turns out she was never pregnant, even though they claim they did an ultrasound). They then double charged us on exam fees and vaccines because we didn't do all initial vetting in the first appointment, because they said not everything was pregnancy safe. I warn all pet parents I know now not to go here. I've contacted Petco Corporate about this and will revise my review if they pay us back for any of the double charging.
