  Gabby the “manager” over the fish and animals at petco in Conway is a very uneducated and unprofessional woman. Not only did she refuse to help me when there were only her and one other associate who may I add was spectacular unlike Gabby. She was on the floor doing tags in the dog food section where I had to search the store just to find her which she ended up being absolutely no help. She informed after I asked politely if she could get a fish for me, that I could go up front and he could page someone over there. In reality this was to avoid helping me as she walked to the register instead then dismissing my husband as he was in line trying to purchase a highland cow toy for our daughter. She didn’t even ask if he needed help other than stating the other associate could get the fish. So she had this man stop what he was doing when she was doing nothing and at this time there wasn’t anyone else needing assistance. Noting that when I did finally find her and asked for help I said thank you she ignored me. She is very rude and disrespectful. She told the other associate after having my husband wait in line to ask for help that he needed to help us because she didn’t like us. This isn’t the first incident with this particular person. She is supposed to be over fish and knowledgeable about the department she is over which she isn’t as well and when corrected she does poorly at acknowledging she is wrong. I was unaware you could ignore and run away from customers when they need assistance in YOUR area.

  I bought 2 chameleons and a snake from the Petco in Conway. They have always been so amazing with the animals there. We love seeing Gabby, as well as Josh and the other workers, I do not recall names!

  betta issue resolved. The lady today was extremely upset to see the betta in such poor condition. I hope Petco corporate starts letting yall treat the betta cups properly.

  I came in for a simple return on a defective item purchased through DoorDash, expecting nothing more than basic courtesy. Instead, I was met with eye-rolling, hostility, and ultimately profanity from an employee who claimed to be the store manager. During the interaction, I was told, “we don’t have to return this” and spoken to with explicit language. What made the situation even more unacceptable was being subjected to comments about my presumed political beliefs—based solely on my expectation of being treated with basic respect as a paying customer. A retail environment is not a place for personal attacks or political assumptions. It is a place for professionalism and service—both of which were completely absent. This experience was not just disappointing—it was unacceptable. I will be reconsidering any future business with Petco.
