  I took our 10 month old Pug, Poppy for an evaluation of her teen acne. Dr Julie explained everything so well! She gave and suggested topical meds to treat. She didn't just throw antibiotics at us. Very happy!! Oh, and the staff must be mentioned! Everyone was extremely kind and friendly. That really matters. Thank you!

  Top Notch in my book! Dr Julie and Bailey were very accommodating and comforting to Molly and me on her last day on this earth. You guys are awesome!

  I couldn’t be happier with my experience at Canal Road Animal Hospital. We were in town for the holiday and one of our cats was not well when we got into town. He was seen the next morning and the staff and Dr. Taylor were so kind and caring. It was such a relief to have my distressed cat seen by Dr. Taylor. She was so knowledgeable and attentive to our concerns. I highly recommend Canal Road Animal Hospital. It’s 5+++ stars!

  I was on the phone with the worker for after hours and I explained that my dog needed help. Well the receptionist, who picked up the phone on Tuesday Sep 30. 2025 at 7:15 needs to be fired and put in jail for good. This place ought to get shut down just off of this one experience and I wouldn't recommend bringing my pet fly here. People stay far away! If you can go elsewhere, please save yourself and your loved one. She asked me if I wanted to take a message... When I explained that I needed a vet right away. She said that they were closed and that she could take a message. I have never heard anyone not only move so slow on the phone but act so careless towards a customer. I mean, this is people giving you their money!! You should at least treat them with respect, or at least thats what I believe. She then went to ask me for my name as if she was going to actually help me and when I told her my name which was "Tyler" she proceeded to ask me how to spell that. Just out of spite when she could tell that I was upset with how she was treating me on the phone when my loving pup was hurting. Trying to take more time off of the small amount I have to act to make the dire situation better. Please, save your pets from this torture I had to deal with and steer clear of this place so that they can close down. Its the only thing they deserve!

  Always positive experiences with businesses in Orange Beach. Just left the Canal Road animal Hospital, my dog was having seizures and foaming at the mouth. She obviously was in need of urgent care. We were there 45 minutes before they closed and was told they didn’t have time to treat her.. Unbelievable lack of concern for my pets welefare..
