  The store looks great, plenty of inventory in the dog foods we needed and in the dog toys. The saltwater fish look amazing & the entire store is so clean.

  Last year I gave my two labradoodles a break from Petco until this year. She was doing great! Then, I don’t know what happened. I explained to the groomer why. I gave them a try again. The first cut was great. At their second appt, both look like rats this time. I don’t know what changed unless she’s overbooked and hurrying. I don’t expect perfection but I do expect the same cut every time. I’m going to do a review every time I take them there for grooming. Doesn’t make sense to know how to cut them but skin them whenever you want.

  Pic on the left to me is how labradoodles should be groomed/cut. The pic of them on the right is terrible. This is the 2nd time this has happened. Last year only one looked like a rat. I gave my dogs a break from Petco until this year. Tried them again, first cut great. Appt #2 both look like rats. Yes I’ve spoken with the groomer to make sure it wouldn’t happen again and it did. I don’t know what changes unless she’s overbooked and getting in a hurry. I’m going to do a review every time I take them there for grooming. Doesn’t make sense to know how to cut them and then skin them the next visit.

  I came back to this location to do an exchange for some fish that died. For some reason I couldn't exchange this at the Petco in Huntsville closer to where I live. When getting to the counter, I was advised someone should be in the fish aisle where I can have them get the fish I want, and I'd come back to the counter to do the exchange no one was there. I asked the cashier if she could call someone to come to the fish aisle fir assistance. The gentleman that came to the aisle helped a father and son with getting fish. I waited patiently hoping I'd be next. But after 15 minutes waiting for Jim to get there fish, and noticing a couple was also waiting, I asked if he could help me next since I had him called up and I'd be waiting. He said he'd get a manager because he was supposed to be leaving. I was frustrated and just went to the front counter for a refund, where he was there signing out. I asked for a refund, but it seemed incorrect, so I went back in line. She had to call the manager, and apparently, 2 of the fish I was returning were free as part of a sale. But I advised the manager not to worry about any additional refund, and that even though I preferred the selection at this location over the one in Huntsville, I won't be coming back.

  I had a very frustrating experience at Petco grooming today. After scheduling an appointment on Jan. 28, 2026. I was told they could not service my dog 7 minutes after dropping him off. My doggy (Khaos) has bad allergies so he eats his paw. For some reason, instead of just doing the service, (Aabrea B) insisted on playing with his paw. This was not communicated ahead of time, which wasted my time and caused unnecessary stress. There was little explanation and no effort to offer alternatives or solutions. If there are restrictions or limitations, customers should be clearly informed before appointments are booked. Extremely unprofessional experience. I won’t be returning and would not recommend Petco grooming. (He's also up to date on his vaccines) He's Lab/Pitbull, and nowhere near aggressive.
