I had to get my boy Saban a rabies shot and had been calling around trying to find the best price because I'm on disability and can't afford to pay $200.00. Unfortunately, I had waited too long because my apartment complex sent me a text at 2:00 PM saying that I had to get it done that day or he would have to stay somewhere else. That day my truck was in the shop so I had to find someone to drive us and I called Center Star Veterinary Clinic at 2:50 to ask if I brought him right then could they give him his shot so that I could get everything sent back to the apartment manager by 4:00 PM and they said yes so I rushed down and they were really busy that day so they came out to the lobby and gave him his shot. I call that going above and beyond because they already had his paperwork filled out too so I was able to pay and get everything back to the apartment manager by 4:00!!! They only charged me $20 for the rabies vaccine and I wasn't charged for the vet since we didn't go back into a room.

I had an appt for yearly shots and heartworm test.
The lady up front was prompt, personable and professional.
The vet tech was so sweet to my dog who is older.
She did a great job on her nails and meds.
This has been our vet for many years and I miss the folks that were there when we started but am very pleased with the new team and expect I would miss them if they left!

Took my old man, 11yr old Dane mix, Dozer for his annual shots and bloodwork. The staff were all friendly and professional. Dr. Summer was great!! She was very nice and professional and explained all his bloodwork thoroughly, even writing it down on my copy. Prescribed a medication and will recheck in a month. I had a great experience, I had an appt and they got me right back in a room and handled my very nervous big baby with care. Very pleased with my experience and the cost was reasonable.

I am new to the area and looked for a vet who was close and who had good reviews. Center Star exceeded my expectations! Very caring for my dog, Penny’s anxiety of being there. Dr Summer Lathum sat right on the floor next to her and gave her lots of petting and love before checking her skin for allergic reactions.
Lizzie was wonderful to keep us comfortable while we waited for Dr Summer to finish a c-section of 8 Boston terrier babies! It was a great experience and the price was right!

Dr. Summer is amazing and such a sweetheart but Her techs and the Older Front desk ladies are beyond rude , I was there for over 45 minutes before I was brought back I asked how much longer because I have a infant baby the lady in the front acted like I was bothering her and was extremely beyond rude. I go back in the room. The vet tech was more worried about shoving a paper in my face to sign saying it will cost this are you prepared to pay this and that and was extremely rude when I asked what things were for. She kept telling me different things than the veterinarian told me on treatment of my dog. I called the next morning to talk to the veterinarian because my dog wasn't doing better. The front lady was short beyond rude kept telling me Well I dont know what you to tell you Honey. Then called back and said We'll its Friday you should just take him to Huntsville ER. I ended up taking him to Athens to Town & County when I got there he was extremely sick and ended up having to stay in the icu til Tuesday. If it wasn't for them our dog would have died because they were more worried about money than actually caring for my dog!!! I would ABSOLUTELY never go back to Center Star Veterinary Clinic if you dont want to spend a fortune and be treated like your bothering them or want your animals to die!!!
