Most of the issues seem to stem from the general manager, James Cronin. It’s clear he’s there for the paycheck rather than the animals or customers. I’ve had several encounters with him while shopping, and each one left me feeling uncomfortable. It also appears that many of the female employees seem uneasy around him and receive little help or support from him on the floor. It’s unfortunate that they have to work in that kind of environment, and even more unfortunate that customers notice it too. I truly hope this store is looked into, especially regarding the management. It doesn’t seem like much will improve until that changes.

I enjoy most of the employees at this Petco but I feel like they are being suppressed from doing their best because of stress from their general store manager James. He is completely rude, enforces policies that make no sense, and is horrible at making sure his work force feel comfortable and cared for, instead they are unnecessarily stressed. He was rude to me on several occasions that I have started shopping elsewhere. The staff knows me well and I enjoy talking to all of them, so ladies this is not against any of you. I bought 7 snakes at this store, because of this they changed their policy on only buying three mice. On several occasions, James has told me himself in a rude manner that I can buy three mice come back the next day and by three more. So you will sell me as many snakes as I want but you are going to try your hardest to make it difficult to feed them all. And thank you for suggesting the frozen mice which you know of course giving them frozen after already eating fresh will make them sick, that statement tells me that you do not concern yourself on safety of animals once they leave your care. I really don't think this man should be in charge of a store that is responsible for little lives that can't defend themselves if the wrong things are said and done. Also I am bring it to everyones attention that he keeps taking my reviews down and making his own on fake accounts so his stars stay up. I guarantee you change him out with a more understanding and qualified person as manager and this store will have higher profits than it has had in a while. Thank you for reading and sorry for ranting on, I just love this store and want things to improve.
