  We had a great experience buying a pet for our family. We were helped right away and the employees were awesome. They answered all our questions and helped us purchase our guinea pig. Thank you so much Petco! :)

  This is a heartbreaking review for me because I loved this store so much and learned so much from the ladies who previously worked there on how to maintain a fish tank. Tonight wrecked my opinion of this store. We went in to purchase fish. The tank lights were off and we had to ask them to turn the lights on. Then we picked out our new fish. We waited a good 5 minutes before the “manager” Alonso (Alonzo) dunno spelling came up. He asked how big our tank was and we have a 55 gallon tank cycled and of course ready to go. We picked out five fish, and Alonso was very abrasive but I overlooked it. He then said we shouldn’t get that many fish because of the health of our tank. Then my fiancé let him know we know what we are doing as we have three tanks. Alonso told him to quit arguing with him and got EXTREMELY aggressive. He said he cared more about the fish than making a sale. He threw the fish in the tank in a horrible way. To say you care but to throw the fish like that and stress them was awfully careless. He refused to allow us to purchase basically screaming at us. I put back all the plants I had picked out for the aquarium back on the shelf where I had got them. I am a VERY experienced fish person. We walked out and as we were walking out The other customer who was gonna purchase fish said he was going to purchase salt fish but chose not to because of how we were treated. I have never been so embarrassed and honestly disgusted and disappointed in an interaction than the one today. He should be ashamed of his poor customer service and my son cried because we didn’t get the fish. He is autistic and he loves fish. I will never return to this Petco as long as this person is employed here. We called corporate immediately because it was a HORRIBLE experience. I am just sad about this. This guy does NOT need to work around people. We have dropped thousands in the store buying chemicals for our tanks, the cleaning supplies, nets, filters, fish, fish food, bird seed, sugar glider food, turtle food, etc. Please do better!

  Bought salt water fish from them. Tanks don’t look very clear. The one I purchased from wasn’t too bad then I got home accumulated the fish, go to take them out of the bag and they have Ick.. I called corporate bc they close at 7. They told me they escalate it. Never got a case number or a call back. Next day rolls around. I called Huntsville and spoke to the manager. She mentioned someone would call me in a couple hours. No body did. Called corporate again. Got the case number. Informed them nothing has been resolved on anyone’s end. I have over 3-4K in this set up with the fish I have.. This has exposed my entire tank. 2 days. 2-4 fish with ick. Tank exposed. I’ve asked for help for 2 days neither this place or corporate has took this seriously. No apology. No accountability. Nothing. It’s a terrible way to do business and the people say they care for our pets.. Where? Where is the care? Pictures below! First picture is of the tank at petco.. lion fish with damsels and smaller fish. Red flag. 2 other pictures are of the fish with ick. It’s clear. I have also shown pictures of my fish who do not have ick.
