- KGKatie GlassJan 1, 20261.0I went in for isopods. Every container I picked up was labeled from November, and all of the bugs were dead, half of them left as husks from being dead so long. This includes the feeder insects, dubias and crickets. For $12 a container for 5 bugs that are all clearly dead is atrocious. Especially if someone blindly trusts the store and takes home a container full of dirt.

Maranda wouldn't let me purchase the fish, insinuated that I wouldn't be good to them more than once and then when I called to speak with the manager, she hung up on me. Talk about rude and insulting. I will never shop at any of these stores ever again. I went to their competition and bought three Betta with the absolute best customer service. Their Betta fish tanks were dirty and one fish was floating on its side from lack of oxygenation. Never again!!

- CGCorey GrayDec 14, 20251.0I usually stay away from petco bc they tend to have a reputation for being unethical. Stopped by today to get some treats because I was already in the shopping center. There was a lady in line in front of me with a thin dog. The dog was thin but by seemed healthy, energetic, and friendly. By no means emaciated. I also don’t know her story or if the dog was a rescue or new. After she left the cashier, an older lady with bleached hair, started gossiping about her with 2-3 other employees as they walked by and even tried to pull customers into it. Very rude, awkward, and unpleasant and held up the line. Reminded me while I stayed away so long.

We alerted an employee who told us he’ll deal with when it dies. This is extremely upsetting. Fish aren’t just an object they are an animal and no matter what an animal should not be left to die an incredibly painful death.
