Great customer service. Always have a Positive experience at this location. The variety and selection of toys, food and chews is also very good.

I went to get food for my bearded dragon. There were 8 containers of various worms, ak of which were primarily dead. I tried to get crickets, and was limited to 2 dozen, because they didn't order correctly.

Last Monday, I went into the store to socialize my pup. Upon first glance at the entry, the floors were so dirty, I didn’t let him on the ground. I decided to just hold him. I figured it wasn’t too big of a deal, it’s the middle of winter, and people track in snow and dirty on their boots anywhere you go. But as we walked around, everything grew a bit more concerning. All of the shelves looked unkept. There was a distinct smell of rotten fish, and the place looked desolate. There was hardly any animals, save for fish and reptiles. There was pee everywhere around the corners of the isles. I left, went to Coldspot, which, huge shoutout to them for being so friendly and amazing! We had a great experience there for socializing. But while I was there, I kept thinking about the condition of Petco. I decided to make a call to Petco HQ — I voiced my concerns and the next day, they had the general manager of our local store call me. It had started out friendly, but the more I voiced my concerns, the more she became passive aggressive and the more she became defensive and irate. I spoke kindly, trying to explain to her that this came from a place of respect, but she didn’t seem to care. She was rude. She laughed at one point, and accused me of telling her how to do her job. Somewhere along the lines of the conversation, I had explained the experience we had at ColdSpot, and when she asked me what my experience was like there (I said, clean, friendly, and comfortable), she seemed to get only more upset. The most concerning part of the conversation was that she told me she only cleans her store 1-2 times a week, which was admitting to the fact her store was not sanitary as much as it should be for a place that handles animals. She claims she walks around the store and checks on everything and it’s conditions, but also states that its customers faults for not telling anyone about the urine spots, and that’s why they were left there. Due to the lack of cleanliness, understanding, overall treatment, I will be avoiding Petco until further notice until the case I have open with Petco Corporate is solved and I am provided confirmation that conditions will change and it is safe to have my pets in the store once again.

I went in to buy an aquarium and all the relevant supplies. Probably would have spent $400 today. But I have a firm policy: If you won't let a paying customer use your bathroom, I won't use your store.
