Best Buy as a store has always given me solid customer service, and I want to make it clear this review isn’t about the sales floor staff—they were great. The problem is their Geek Squad repair team.
I brought my phone in for a simple screen replacement and the service was disappointing from start to finish. The technician stripped a screw inside my phone, which will make future repairs a nightmare, and at first tried to brush it off as “normal wear.”
When I raised the issue, Taylor, the manager, did offer to replace my phone—but the replacement will take five days, which is a huge inconvenience for a mistake their techs made.
Bottom line: Best Buy’s retail team is excellent, but their Geek Squad is a different story. If you need repairs, take your device somewhere else because the “experts” here lack both the skill and the accountability you’d expect.
