  Good afternoon, I am writing to provide feedback regarding a recent Geek Squad service experience that was disappointing and ultimately unresolved. I brought in a personal computer in November that was approximately five years old for repair. I was advised to purchase a specific battery and bring my PC in. Then I was informed that the PC was fixed and the brand new battery was installed and issue had been fixed. I left with the device trusting the work of the Geek Squad. Unfortunately, once home, the computer would not power on at all. No improvement had been made despite being told the repair was complete. As a result, I assumed the PC was no longer salvageable and was preparing to discard it. However, while visiting a Staples store for an unrelated reason, a store associate took the time to briefly examine the computer. She was able to quickly identify the problem, recommend a solution, and within a week the PC was fully functional. This experience was frustrating, as I had relied on Geek Squad’s expertise and paid for a service that did not resolve the issue. The contrast between the two experiences raised concerns about the accuracy of the diagnosis and the quality of the repair provided by Geek Squad. I am sharing this feedback in hopes it can be reviewed for quality assurance and training purposes. Customers depend on Geek Squad for reliable technical expertise, and in this case, that expectation was not met. Thank you for taking the time to review my experience.

  Review from Apr 2023 experience for a backup camera installation. The auto tech (a young female in her 20s) wasn't listening at all and ended up with a shoddy job on my car. As it turned out that I paid for the job that's unfinished and service rescheduled. All she had to do was to listen to me (use proven installation method on YouTube video and after her many failed attempt), but she was hell bent on doing the way she wanted it. After an arduous 3.25hrs with multiple calls to her peers and video chat she hooked up wires, cut wires at zillion places drilling my car boot without my consent. The backup camera didn't work right outside the geek squad garage after a minute of working. I took a refund on this service. Plus she first ripped me overcharging and after I questioned her she budged and called up her manager and billed me a right one again. Thank God I didn't book for remote ignition service too. I wasted 5.25 hrs of my appointment and money.

  over priced. wrong parts ordered twice after driving there over an hour away. They broke plastic clips holding my car interior together. Bad experience all around. Would not recommend anyone to BB.

  I couldn't figure out how to make an appointment with Geek Squad on line, called local number, waited on hold 30 minutes...still they didn't pick up. Tried again, still no pick up. Called Best Buy 844 number and got a guy with strong accent who wanted to support me on line and when I said no, I just want an appointment in the store he said he couldn't help with that, probably because he was 10,000 miles away and then the line went dead. :(
