Do not shop, or have items serviced here. I took my iPhone 15 plus in, expecting a swollen battery issue to be resolved through my warranty, as defective items are. However, I was promptly told by a Geek Squad "employee" that since the frame was bent, the iPhone could not be serviced/replaced, and was blamed upon putting the phone in my back pocket, which I have never done. What REALLY happened, is the phone's battery was DEFECTIVE. I have had the phone for 9 months, purchased brand new from Best Buy, and they tried to blame it on incompetence, saying that a swollen battery wouldn't make the phone bend. Hello, YES IT WILL. A swollen phone battery exerts pressure on internal components, mainly the frame/chassis went swollen to a large enough capacity. Aluminum is easily bendable btw, so I'm not sure what was going through this old guy's head at the time. Pretty common sense if you ask me, if a phone battery swells (
expands), it IS GOING TO PUT PRESSURE ONTO THE ALUMINUM FRAME AND CAUSE IT TO BEND. In light of myself knowing this information, I proceeded to contact Apple directly, where a representative informed me that the phone WILL be repaired or replaced at no cost due to warranty. The funny part is, I had an iPhone SE (2020) that had a bent frame due to the same issue, and had it replaced there at no cost! Granted, I was an employee of Best Buy at the time, so if anything, this review should leave you with great concern on whether or not you want to spend your money at this place. It seems nowadays they just don't want to do their job, they're too incompetent to, or they somehow got the job with a HUGE gap in common knowledge, because to me, this should've been an easily fixable issue, and due to this experience, I will no longer recommend ANYONE shop, or have devices serviced, at Best Buy.
