Cricket will lock your phone if you stop automatic payment without contacting them - it is a virtual nightmare to keep the same phone from a new carrier as they will tell you to connect to the my cricket app to unlock of which you cant as the phone has now been deactivated - they will then require you to pay for another month of service in order to unlock the device plus an additional $5. I will now go with a new phone and not give these scam artists another dime - this after contacting them prior to the cancellation date and after just receiving a reminder text from them - so i call 3 hours prior to the cancellation period and there are no customer service reps available at 9 pm, unlike other carriers. BBB time. 3 starts for phone 1.5 stars for data and -10000 stars for customer service.
