  I was convinced to come to this store by an employee named jera back in February because she knew I was looking to switch from android to iPhone and they had a deal on the iPhone 14. She promised me that after purchasing the phone and having service with them for one month, that the phone would then be unlocked and I could use it on my Verizon service. I verified this with her several times before committing to the purchase as I am a single mother on disability and don't have the funds to just be throwing around like that. I ended up coming in while jera was working and spent over $200 on the phone and service. I tried putting my Verizon Sim card in the phone after one month and it said it was locked to cricket still so I went back in to talk to jera and she said "well, maybe you need to wait two months. " I waited another month. Same thing. I contacted her several times a week after that because she told me that she would email her boss Scott and her corporate boss Justin to see what's going on. Every time I talked to her she said that they wouldn't respond to her emails and she would send another one. This went on for another month. At this point I decided to call the other cricket locations in Janesville and Beloit to try and speak to Scott myself. I probably called at least 10 times between the 4 stores. No one would put me in touch with Scott the manager or even take my phone number for him to call me. They all kept telling me to call the cricket customer care number. Which i called every time. They didn't help in any way whatsoever and would send me to a voicemail when I asked to be transferred to management. I left many voicemails explaining the situation and never got a call back. Finally one of the employees at the Milton Ave store told me that I needed to have 6 months of active service with them before I could use the phone on another carrier. She said "I don't know why she would tell you one month, it's six. " and again referred me to their customer care number, I left yet another voicemail and of course got no return call. I've been dealing with this now for 4 months with no resolution. I've been extremely patient with this situation, but my next step is to contact the better business bureau because this is just unacceptable. I was told by an employee and reassured over and over again that I only needed to have the one month of service. This just shows that they will tell you anything they have to to get you to buy a phone so that they can get their commission and meet their sales goals and then when what they told you proves to be a lie, they gate keep their bosses contact info and won't allow you to speak with him and just keep sending you to the national number who can't do anything for you. What an absolutely crooked business. Do not get your phone service through these people. Go to tmobile, they are actually professional, trained properly and will make any issues right without giving you the run around for 4 months!!!
