The team at VCA care so much about my dog. You can tell they genuinely love seeing and treating their animals. The take the time out to give scratches and loves. My corgi isn’t afraid of the vet, and it is thanks to this team! My Sparkle broke her leg and needed numerous appointments, and the team was lovely the entire time.

I took my 15 year old cat here for an exam and I must say they were absolutely wonderful. The Assistant and the Doctor were so gentle and kind to my Sweetheart. They were able to assess her without any imaging and gave her an accurate diagnosis. I noticed the very next day how much better she was already doing. They are knowledgeable and so sweet. Won’t take my babies anywhere else.

I had an appt for my dog today at 10:30am we checked in from the truck at 1002 . They asked us to be there 15 min early. We get there check in and we waited and waited til 1045, I went inside and asked how much longer til our dog can be seen beings we were standing outside in the cold because our dog don't like other animals. When I asked the lady she walked back and said she would check. She never came.e back out and told us. So almost 11am I went back in and said do you know how much longer, the lady gave me he rudest attitude ever. She said uh were finishing up, rolling her eyes being a smart alec. So I told her nope I'm leaving, she says ok buh bye. .like the rude lady she was. What was funny there was absolutely no one in the building so I don't know what she was waiting for.

The vet seriously overdosed my cat
We took Amy in for complaints of hip pain, trouble eating, and persistent howling/yelling. They did a very good job checking her over and addressing what needed to be taken care of (hip x-ray, dental work, etc). At the end of the visit they offered a prescription for pain, Gabapentin 100mg.
Amy is 4kg and old. The dosage was way too high, and she spent 12 hours unable to move or walk properly. She had reduced feeling and/or reactivity in her hind limbs. This was way beyond expected levels of sedation, and after looking into it the max dose for her weight should have been 90mg (15mg/kg). When we tried to address our concerns the following morning it felt like they dismissed our concerns as part of standard expected side effects.
Do not take your pet here. They only care about your money and nothing else. My cat was throwing up so we took her in and they wanted to do an ultrasound which cost about $1000 and I love my baby so we did that. Couldn’t find exactly what was wrong so they insisted on an xray which was another $1000 and we reluctantly agreed and they still couldn’t figure it out. Now they’re insisting I do another ultrasound but with a more “experienced” person and I don’t have the money for that. Why didn’t you use the experienced person to begin with?? Now I’m in debt and my cat is still sick with no idea what’s wrong. I asked what other options there are instead of the ultrasound and they agreed to give me more nausea meds for only a week and Dr. Bergerud made me feel like a horrible person that doesn’t care about my cat because I opted for the meds. I could barely afford the meds but I’m doing all I can and I really don’t need some money hungry doctor to make me feel like crap because I can’t afford any more. If I could afford the ultrasound and any other tests or treatments needed for my cat I would pay for them in a heartbeat
