Dog had to have emergency surgery on Monday in two days time a huge lump was on her side so I took her in and they said they would have to charge me again for another exam fee because that has nothing to do with her surgery the Tangerine size lump that mysteriously popped up two days after surgery had nothing to do with them

This was my first time at this vca location. The veterinarian and vet techs were incredible. My dog is a very anxious girl and they made her very comfortable and I trusted them to treat her without me in the room. The front desk was also very helpful and friendly. Will 100% be coming back!!!

Front desk staff were amazing but the prices for services were insane and the vet tech and vet didn’t seem to be very experienced in fear free care. They also had me waiting in an empty lobby typically for 20 minutes past my appointment time (or close to it every single time I went in). I’d even hear the receptionist tell someone if they were 7 minutes late they’d have to reschedule and it made me laugh a little because if they followed their own policy I’d be owed a lot of late fees. To clarify these were also mid morning appointments in the middle of the week and nobody else came or went from the lobby except one cat. Either they aren’t staffing properly or they just are being lazy about start times.

I found a dog that was in the middle of a busy street and this was the 3rd place that I went to as a safe place to drop him off. Everywhere else that I went to couldn't take him and I have 3 dogs at home so I wasnt able to take him either. They technically werent allowed to take him. After the staff members and I were calling different places, resources, with no luck. The staff members graciously took the dogs off my hands to make sure he had a safe place to stay. I would trust them with my 3 dogs, and if I lived in town I would be going to them.

Be aware, from what I’ve read via Google a vet cannot force you to buy prescriptions from them, it’s against the law. VCA charges 2-3 times more than what you can buy pet meds for online and a local pharmacy (yes Walgreens & Safeway and others sell pet meds). Plus I had a 30% off at Chewy.com which made my $150 prescriptions at VCA less than $40! When I asked for the RX’s for my pet the tech was a little shady and didn’t release them to me, when I called to ask again I was told to fill them and they “might be approved” at another retailer. The front staff and vet tech were all very nice regardless of the shadiness with the prescriptions.
