I should’ve took the warning when The front desk receptionist didn’t know if the visit was gonna cost me or not . Had to explain that online says first visit free and she told me to screen shot it .
But I took the chance and went in anyway.
During my appointment They said the first exam was free but everything else was gonna cost . It just got worse from there . The rabies shot . 100% I was expecting that . But all the other vaccines we questioned because we wanna know what it is you’re going to inject into our cat. I asked The Doctor if There was any natural herbs we could use and she quickly got defensive said she wasn’t going to argue and she said herbs weren’t going to help anything because science proves that herbs can’t prevent diseases ( her words)
Next thing you know she’s saying we also need to get our cat fixed and explained what will happen if we quickly don’t . Then she said our cat has ear mites . Our bill quickly jumped . I said okay I’ll pay for the medicine for the ear mites that she said can only be prescribed . Then said she thinks there’s something living inside our cats ear aside from the ear mites . So now we’re paying for the medicine , ear cleaning and an ear exam which was confusing . When I started to question the 2nd doctor I was talking to. I said let me guess there’s another
Medicine and that’s gonna cost me about 100 keep in mind that’s on top of all of the other cost they threw at us . This 2nd doctor says yes ! Me and my partner look at each other because now we’re 100s in. We tell her okay let’s do it ! She comes back and say she doesn’t want us to have a bad taste in our mouth . So said we currently don’t need the ear exams. I was like but you just said my cat just might have another parasite aside from the ear mites . Then she goes just take the meds we gave and let’s see what happens..
Couldn’t we have did that in the first place before Dr #1 tried to give me all these add ons and price gouge Us.
Just be careful going here !
And read the other reviews !

My dog has high anxiety and he has been on trazodone. I wanted to talk with a vet to see about other alternatives that were safer to use. I called the vet twice in a two week period with no return call. My dog means the world to me and he has lost two of his companions. I've been trying to help him through his anxiety and it would be nice to have a vet that could help too. Very disappointed.

Wait times are incredibly long. Brought in my cat that wasn’t eating or drinking or urinating. They said he wasn’t critical enough to be seen although the tech said his body temperature was too low and his gums were not pink and should be seen that day. Couldn’t wait over 3 hours that day came back the next morning, waited another 3 hours after they took him back and did nothing. Said he wasn’t critical enough. I then took him to Port Orchard emergency who admitted him immediately and said he was critical and so close to death they were unsure they would be able to stabilize him. This is cruel and disgusting. VCA should be ashamed. Never using them again. If this was a person that hadn’t eaten or drank or used the bathroom in 4 days they wouldn’t consider them non critical. Really incredibly disappointed. They will make the worst time in your life that much harder by letting you wait until your pet gets sicker.

Dr.Blair is wonderful! All three of our doggos see her and she is thorough, kind and takes her time to explain everything. Our dog Smokey is very fearful of people and Dr.Blair has continued with the process that we know works to get Smokey his care, which we are extremely thankful for. Cindy at check in is always so nice and welcoming. The vet technicians Alyssa and Jessica are also amazing! They are so sweet to our boys, and we appreciate their hard work, especially when dealing with difficult dogs like Smokey. Overall, a great team at this office!

My female Cocker Spaniel is my World. Trusting someone with her is tough. But Dr. Blair is a savior! She’s so nice to Bella, treats her like her own. Very thorough and knowledgeable! I’d definitely recommend her ( them) 🐶🐾🐶🐾💕❤️💕❤️
