I'm sick so I couldn't even get out of the house but my wife brought my laptop which I thought was completely dead and I was going to have to buy a new computer. Evidently it was just either jostled or put down too hard or something. The hard drive had somehow become dislocated. And now it's just fine! Thank you Cashawn.
- FGFelina GuynnDec 15, 20251.0Went in today for a free iPhone battery repair through AppleCare+ long story short I’m not sure if it was a cash grab, I have confirmation from multiple different Apple support conversations stating it is 100% free of charge due to my battery life percentage being below 80%. Geek squad kept insisting due to the inability to bypass the $90 charge despite me having AppleCare & meeting qualifications they stated it was because I hadn’t purchased my phone in the last year. Please be aware of your warranty information. I have reported this to Apple, they are filing a formal complaint because it was supposed to be free. Do not rely on their information provided at geek squad. I will be giving an update if Apple provides me one regarding this issue but please be aware they may be trying to upsell you in any way/make out of pocket money despite me having FULL coverage for this issue. Geek squad member checked with management and stated my phone had to be below 80% life, have AppleCare+ AND my phone must be within a year old. AppleCare+ covers a free battery replacement as long as you have below 80% battery health bottom line, this was a fishy situation.
