This Apple Store has declined massively in the past few years. I went to buy something, and after paying for it, I was told I would have to wait a few HOURS before they gave me the product, even though it was right there in front of us, and I had paid for it IN THE STORE. The kid helping me seemed extremely sleep deprived and couldn’t speak loudly enough for me to hear over the sound of the store, and I ended up having to pay AGAIN after they spent ten minutes fumbling through my account on my phone (they apparently couldn’t use their own system to look at orders) and I was told to just cancel their first messed-up order after it popped up. So now I have double the money tied up in my bank for the day. Not coming here again; the University Village store is far superior.

2 of my 3 trips to this location have been completely useless. It’s never an Apple issue or problem, it’s a YOU problem! I love the product but god the customer service for Apple has gone to crap. Especially at this location.

I came in for help with ongoing iPhone backup and phone-to-phone transfer issues. Unfortunately, my experience at the Genius Bar was disappointing. Rather than fully understanding the problem or taking ownership in troubleshooting it, Mike, the Manager of the Genius Bar, immediately placed the blame on me for “not backing up.” This explanation did not address the actual issue: my backup consistently stalled at 515.23 GB every single time and remained stuck for hours. I was hoping for insight into why this was happening or what was preventing the backup from completing. Instead, I was repeatedly told that my data was “too large,” which does not make sense given that my phone has 1 TB of storage and I also pay for 2 TB of iCloud+ storage. In his words, I was told I needed to “find a laptop with larger storage” to solve the issue. When I asked whether seeing a technician or having a different type of appointment would make a difference, the response was again dismissive—he said he was “simply trying to save us time.” At no point did it feel like there was a genuine attempt to investigate or explain the root cause of the problem. The solutions offered felt more like an attempt to brush the issue aside rather than actually resolve it. I came in seeking clarity and support, but left feeling blamed and unheard. Unfortunately, my experience aligns with others who have shared similar frustrations about this store.

Clownshow of a store. I went there before Christmas, prepared to drop a significant amount of cash on a purchase of multiple iPads for my kids as Christmas gifts. The staff working in this store are an absolute joke. Most of them, including the apparent "manager" were just standing around gabbing with each other, completely ignoring customers. I was told to go wait by the iPad tables and someone would shortly come to help me. I waited...and waited... and waited, while I watched literally half of the staff jaw-jacking with other staff, completely ignoring me. Finally, went to ask, again, for help, and finally a young woman came. My questions were not overly complex or technical, but this person knew literally next to nothing and couldn't answer any of my questions. It was the worst customer experience (or better stated.. "potential customer" experience) I think I have ever had. I opted to walk out and go spend my wad of money elsewhere. I instead chose to purchase some Samsung Galaxy Tab S units (8 of them), and have so far been extremely happy with the performance and operation. Apple and its employees at this particular store really need to wake up. Get a new manager on site who cares about customer service and about sales management. The current one there I wouldn't let operate a lemonade stand.

I had a deeply frustrating experience at this Apple Store today that reflects a serious breakdown in ownership and customer handling. I purchased a new iPhone yesterday and was explicitly told by an Apple associate to take the new phone home, back up my old device, and return later the same day to complete the trade-in. That guidance turned out to be completely wrong. When I returned, the girl associate was rude, didn’t know a thing, another associate said this was “not standard practice” and couldn’t help. We then asked for a manager, hoping for clarity or a solution. Instead, Andrew, the manager spent a long time explaining processes and policies we never asked for, while taking no responsibility for the incorrect instruction given earlier by Apple staff. It felt defensive and dismissive rather than customer-focused. After going in circles, I finally had to say plainly that we were now at a loss because of Apple’s mistake. Only then was I told to go to AT&T. Here’s the part that’s hard to ignore: AT&T resolved the entire issue in under 5 minutes. Clear, efficient, and customer-focused. The exact opposite of what we experienced at Apple.
