We took our very sick female chihuahua mix, into this vet clinic, they sounded compasionate on the phone, but when we got there! It was all about the money, fees, xrays, ect!!! Barely looked our dog over, didnt even take her tempature, it was totally about whether you could pay there outragious fees!!! They werent concerned about our precious little baby, all there concern was about your ability to pay for there services! RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THIS HORRIBLE MONEY HUNGRY PLACE!!!! They want your money, not to treat your sick or dieing animal!!!!

VCA Silverlake is one of the worst veterinary experiences I’ve ever had. Do not be fooled by their so-called “care plans.”
I had a scheduled appointment and was forced to wait over an hour, only for the vet to never even show up. No apology. No explanation. Just disrespect for your time.
They aggressively push a nearly $2,000 annual plan, advertising it as “unlimited care.” That is completely misleading. Every single visit still comes with additional charges, surprise fees, and constant upselling. Nothing feels transparent, and you don’t realize how much you’re being charged until it’s too late.
To make matters worse, the staff is consistently rude and dismissive. Questions are met with attitude, not answers. Instead of feeling supported as a pet owner, you feel pressured, rushed, and taken advantage of.
This place operates like a corporate cash grab, not a clinic that actually cares about animals or their owners. Long waits, no accountability, hidden costs, and poor customer service — all wrapped up in false promises.
Save yourself the stress, money, and frustration. Go anywhere else.

First of all, when my boyfriend and I's cat got a small laceration on her paw, we went to a VCA in Redwood, Redmond. Since it was her first pet visit, we did not know how it was going to go, however she was extremely calm and stayed still the whole time they were giving her the medicine and bandage. When it was time for her second bandaging, we went to the Silver Lake VCA as it is the closest location to us. (we went to redwood the first time because it was the only appointment available). When we got there, we only asked for a reapplication of her bandaging. We also gave her a relaxer medicine so she would be more relaxed. (MIND YOU, we did not give her the relaxer at the Redwood VCA.) For whatever reason, the vets told us she needed to be out of the room?? When at the VCA Redwood they did it right there in front of us. After they took our cat out the room, they came back 15-20 minutes later saying they could not change her bandage as she is too "aggressive" and kept growling. This was extremely surprising to us as Rain, our cat, was very calm during her first visit at the other location. The vets basically forced us to pay for the anesthetic, we say "forced" because they said they could not do it without the drugs because she was too aggressive and would be sent home WITHOUT ANY bandaging (her wound EXPOSED). We of course had no choice to agree, and I even asked the vet how much it would cost for the anesthetic. If it was too expensive, we could've just went home and bandaged her with some pet safe wound care ourselves. The vets said only $30. We of course agreed as $30 was well within the expected budget. AFTER they gave the anesthetic to our cat and billed us, they said that the anesthetic was $200.. I just need to let that sink in. I have never left a review before but I have never been so infuriated that I just had to. Rain left the vet in tears and basically traumatized. We don't have anything against VCA, the VCA Redwood was absolutely amazing and the staff were extremely patient, gentle, and caring. However, this location only cares about maximizing their profits with each visit. If I could give this location 0 stars, I would.

I brought my senior dog, Dexter, in for an evaluation and was blown away by the level of care. The staff and techs were incredibly kind and professional, and the doctor actually listened to every concern I had. She had already reviewed Dexter’s past labs and even consulted with an internal medicine specialist before I arrived. That really impressed me.
She explained everything clearly, recommended next steps without pushing unnecessary tests, and even waived the exam fee.
It’s rare to find a vet who takes the time to think things through and treat you with respect. I left feeling relieved and confident about Dexter’s care. Highly recommend this clinic to anyone who wants a vet that truly cares.
