I’ve been a customer at VCA in Longview for 6 years. I recently got a new kitten and since my local VCA is closed I made the hour drive out to battle ground. I told the vet I treated her for fleas because she had been scratching behind her ears and I had what I thought was bites on my arms and legs.I paid $450 for the exam, dewormer, a vaccine, AND an ear cleaning. Only 3 days later found out she had ringworm! Huge sore behind her ears. When I called VCA for advice they said someone would call me back. Nobody did. When I called back again I was told it would be another $90 as a recheck fee and I could come in at 3pm today. I could have made that work if someone would have called me back earlier. I live over an hour away. Also the over charging is crazy. Valley Veterinary Clinc in Rainer quoted me less as a first time customer and offered advice on what I can do at home for the cats while waiting for my appointment. Sad VCA dropped the ball.

We have had a great experience with is clinic! Both vets we saw were thorough and did a great job explaining and answering questions. The front desk staff and techs were all super helpful, friendly, and professional. The office is clean and we have never had to wait. They are clear about costs and give you an estimate prior to providing services.

I would not go here - in addition to high costs, the office management is rude and unprofessional. I called in to ask about why a vaccine had been given early, we had a discussion, the office manager agreed to refund the cost of the vaccine. After reviewing notes, she then said the cost would not be refunded because we had asked the vaccine to be given early - after further discussion, she still agreed to refund the amount and we hung up. After 3+ weeks, I called to get a status update. Barely speaking to me for 30 seconds, she said she would not be refunding and hung up on me. I called back again to attempt to have a discussion about why she agreed to refund during our first conversation if she never intended to, and she said she was just trying to get me off the phone. When I attempted to have a further discussion about this, she hung up again me again and would no longer answer calls. I don't even care about the refund, but this treatment of patients and level of dishonesty is unacceptable. Beware taking your pets here. Additionally, a vet said during the check up that my dog did not yet need a dental cleaning. However, when I took him to get his teeth cleaned at a different clinic (one specializing in teeth treatments) they said he had severe tartar and gingivitis and may need a canine extracted in the future because of it.

Their compassion and dedication have not only ensured my boys are cared for, but been life saving. From the warm reception to the incredible medical support, may they all be blessed and know, they make a difference!
