    I went to this store because the one closer to my home is always busy, regardless of the time of day. The first time I was in, it was ok! There was an incredibly helpful, sweet, older woman that was very informative and made sure we got the best deal. They ended up not having the phone I wanted in-stock and I agreed to have it ordered in and would come back when it was in. I was told I would be getting a call when it was delivered so we could take care of payment and setting the new phone up. That didn’t happen. I had a link sent to my phone with the tracking and delivery, and the entire afternoon went by with no call. I ended up going in to get it paid for and set up. The gentleman didn’t get up when I walked in. He yelled from the back of the store a half-hearted greeting and I had to walk all the way back to him. Never once got out of his chair. Was on his phone the entire time. Was super short and rude. He had almost no idea what he was doing, or needed to do. There was a younger woman there, that was lovely, that had to get my phone from the back and walk him through the entire process of updating my phone, all while taking care of 3 other customers that had walked in after me. He didn’t greet them, either. Didn’t try to help his co-worker—NOTHING. The whole 15 minutes I sat for the software update on the new phone, he sat on his phone, sounded like he was watching Tik Toks, and made zero attempt to make any kind of conversation. The whole interaction just put a bad taste in my and my husband’s mouth. I guess I can see why people would rather just wait in line at the other Verizon in Hampton. If you’re busy, I get not being able to be super chatty. But I was the only person in there and the other customers took about 5 minutes for the woman to help. The women were great. The man was unprofessional. 100% will just be going to the Hampton location and waiting in line.

    I honestly wonder what is the mission statement for this companies customer service... Case in point: from home, I made the C.S. phone call to assess having in home tech. service , waited over a hour before I spoke with anyone... What was diagnosed was that my home has thick walls and not only should I have the latest upgraded router, i should also get (2) wifi extenders... The C.S. Tech. on the phone not only told me that the equipment would be free, he also said that ( because i was willing to pickup & do the equipment install myself ) i could go to any of the Verizon stores and pickup the equipment as long as the old router was returned... SOooo, I go to the closest store to my 🏡 home location only to have the in store representative ( Mercury blvd. / Coliseum ) tell me that he doesn't know why the phone Tech's tell customers that they can pick up at any store when this particular store has no equipment and never have had such a thing- THEY ARE NOT A FIOS STORE- only phone service...!!😡 Then the store representative told me to go to the other store further down Mercury ( same side of the blvd. )... The greeting was not good - finally, as the store rep. asked, how can i help you, I already had my phone screen open to show the order details... Right away, he said: " OH, I'M NOT GONNA NEED THAT " - and proceeded to type on the p.c. while looking at the p.c. screen... But, after assuming that all i needed was a router, he was then asking me, do i have proof that I'm to get more than just a router and his demeanor really was somewhat condescending but, as I then showed him that same order detail page on my phone screen that i showed earlier, he's seeing it to read further down the order, never once apologizing - so i said " AS U CAN SEE, THIS IS WHY I WAS SHOWING YOU THE ORDER DETAILS THE 1ST TIME "... His words were something like " I know, i know " - never apologizing...!! 😡 By this time, I'm really feeling bad because this is " BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE "...!!😰 And then it gets worse - i was supposed to get (2) wifi extenders and the store only had 1... If i hadn't ask if he could get another extender from another store, he definitely wasn't going to recommend anything... i literally had to ask " COULD YOU CALL AHEAD OF TIME SO THAT I'M TO GOING ALL THE WAY TO THE STORE THAT IS AT CHRISTOPHER NEWPORT UNIVERSITY ", to get the 2nd wifi extender...?? So, he did... i get to the 3rd store, told the guy that the order was just called in from the: NEWMARKET STORE ( how else was i to know this ) - he didn't believe me and made me not only show i.d., also show the order on my phone... ALL OF THIS AND I ACTUALLY WALKED INTO THE STORE WITH THE BOX UNDER MY ARM OF THE 1ST WIFI EXTENDER...!!🗣😡😡😡
