- NNno1egoNov 28, 20251.0I am a business customer of Verizon. Based on the signage of the store in Galax, Va one would assume it is a Verizon corporate store. It isn’t nor do they act like one. I bought an IPhone 17 pro that had a defective camera. I was told the phone was damaged and they would not replace it under warranty. The “manager” somehow detected this damage though the phone was a week old, in a case and was not dropped. The rep said the screen had pulled away from the frame; it had not. I have no idea what he believed he saw. But this was about the manager not the rep. The rep who spoke with Apple told me that Apple also said from its diagnostics it was damaged. I verified this from Apple and the notes on the reps call. They did not say that and told me it is impossible to diagnose a camera issue without seeing the phone. They also ignored the software error message I told them about saying, “no way to verify the hardware is an authentic Apple product after arriving home. I wonder if they have any interest to not replace a phone under warranty? Verizon ended up taking on the warranty and replaced the phone after asking them; being a customer of Verizon has its benefits. Consider that. Horrible experience.
