Went in today to upgrade my phone as I had an offer online. I thought it might be faster or easier to go in person. Online it gave me the option to check out and showed a total due of about $57. When I sat down with Rachel, she said it was going to be close to $100 because of the store activation. She was very nice in the beginning but during the interaction I mentioned it was only $57 online and gave me the option to pick up in store for less and that I’ll just do it that way instead to save the extra $40. As soon as I said this, her attitude changed she said have a nice day and basically told us that they are not Verizon, a separate company and that no one else has ever come in, gotten free information (she didn’t tell me anything I didn’t already know from browsing online on my account), and then ordered it online in front of her and that normally people wouldn’t do that when the person helping them is commission based. ???. I can set up my own phone and don’t need the store to charge me extra to do that. Being in a commission based position myself, I would never in my life share that with a customer to try and make them feel bad. If Rachel isn’t happy with her pay, she should take that up with her manager, not the customer. It was very off putting and I will not be returning to this “not-Verizon” store.
