  Brought my computer to Best Buy who sent it off to Geek Squad because there was a rattle and my casing was separating from the keyboard. They never contacted me about a diagnostic despite being told that they would. My other problem was that it seems that they never opened the computer to remove the components that were causing the rattling noise. I ended up having a family member taking it apart to remove them. Additionally, when I brought my computer home there was grease and residue all over the computer, so we assumed they must have greased the hinges. After opening the computer we noticed that the hinges weren’t greased - if they were it wasn’t enough to notice. Best Buy stated that Geek Squad “couldn’t source the part” which is understandable, but why couldn’t you at the very least remove the components that were causing the rattling? Or even contact the costumer with your “professional” input.

  Do not come here. I came in only for a battery replacement because my iPhone 16 battery died. Without running diagnostics, Geek Squad immediately claimed the battery and motherboard were bad and said I would lose all my data if it was repaired. I explained that my phone had irreplaceable information—passwords, important messages, and audio messages from my grandfather who has passed away—but they showed no concern and insisted it wouldn’t work without a motherboard replacement. I went to a local repair shop instead. They properly diagnosed it, replaced only the battery, fixed it in one day, and all my data was preserved. Geek Squad gave misleading information and didn’t know what they were talking about.

  Totally useless. Called the number for Geek Squad twice, went through the automated whatnot, got a 'real person' on the line... First one hung up and didn't call back. The second one put me on hold and never came back on the line. Went online to chat, got a 'representative' who, after I explained the situation and requested a service call, told me Geek Squad doesn't provide on-site help/repair. They suck.

  I waited on the phone for 26 minutes for someone to answer . That person transferred me to geek squad . Then after telling them what I needed they wanted to transfer me back to sales in the store. Huge run around and long waits on the phone.
