Dr. O’Day and his team in the oncology department were able to keep my wonderful cat alive for 9 months after his terminal cancer diagnosis. They responded quickly, took very good care of him, and were always available to provide advice. If you’re in the unfortunate position of having an animal with cancer, this is a good place to go. They also accepted our insurance (Lemonade).

Our little precious Peanut was seen in the ER this morning due to a very sudden attack of vomiting and walking wobbly. I thought she was having either a seizure or heart problems. I called on the way in, she was already checked in and ready to be seen by the doctors within a couple of minutes after walking through the door! The ER staff, doctors and the group that run the front desk at Southpaws are compassionate, extremely thorough and their professional skills go above and beyond! Thank you all so very much for the care you've given both of our girls over the years and know that we truly are very grateful knowing they are going to be well taken care of!!!!

Karen wouldn’t let me schedule an appointment with another oncology vet because “trust has been broken”. with Dr. Przydrozny. Dr P recommended surgery of two toe removals of my dog for his grade 2 mass cell tumor cancer and after getting another medical opinion from a different vet, I was told his toe removals would not be necessary. A friend referred me to Dr Korec but Karen mentioned the doctor also has the right to turn away patients. How petty and unprofessional. Seems that ego is more important than moral code. No empathy for overprotective dog moms.

Worst Shelter ever! They just care about your money! I brought my sick cat in & all they offered was cremation options, didn’t bother to ask about the cat condition. Paid near 1,000 dollars. Still couldn’t find whats wrong. Just stated the cat has mild fever. The cat is still sick ongoing but they just want money & no solution.Horrible heartless place. They have no payment plans besides credit loans. It’s sad how your dying cat can’t get any help without wasting over $500 in costs.

This place is so expensive and not helpful at all. My cat had a mass on his stomach and i took him there for ultrasound, they recommended a needle biopsy and $1800 later i can’t even find out what type of cancer my cat has , unless I make an appointment with oncologist which is another $480 minimum i paid 1800 for nothing!!!!
