I visited this store to inquire about the status of a fan that I had dropped off back in Oct 2025 for repair after I had repeatedly called the Dyson’s 1-800 number, but never received status updates, which led me to the store to ask the status to someone in person.
When I asked an employee named Matt about the status of my fan, he immediately went in to a very defensive and confrontational attitude. I instantly felt like I was in a police station being questioned over a crime! He relayed to me that the fan was not there as they had “gotten rid of it.” He asked me “Why didn’t you check sooner?” Again, I relayed to him that even though I attempted to determine the status of my fan repair using the 1-800 number, I had no success. He then immediately became more aggressive in his town towards me. He said things such as “Well, if you had a car being repaired, wouldn’t you check on it sooner?” He literally started berating me as if I was a child! He began aggressively pointing his finger at me, started screaming at me to calm down, to relax, not to raise my voice at him or he was going to call the police! He then threatened me with police action, if I didn’t leave the store immediately!
At that point, I left without further incident, just walked away totally in shock of what just transpired without my fan in hand. I honestly felt that the next step in Matt’s sick mind would have been a physical altercation and I truly did not feel safe. I am a woman and also a woman of color and felt that the attack I just received was motivated by those two factors combined, and that as a “perceived weak woman”, I should have and was required to take his verbal assault. Please understand that I am a calm and peaceful person at heart, and when I asked him about the status, that was exactly my demeanor and tone. His response was totally unprovoked.
I can assure you that I have NEVER been treated that way in any store at any time in my life the way that Matt treated me that day, which was again totally unprovoked on my part. I simply inquired about the status of my fan not knowing that my simple question would have triggered such a response from this man.
As a result of this insane interaction with Matt, I will now be inconvenienced to have to drive a greater distance for any future type of Dyson’s product repair as I will NEVER set foot in this store again!

What a great place! I showed up and could not see my serial # so the guy kindly read it off to me, then took one look at it and pointed out where it was clogged (I had checked the pipes but not the whole in the canister) and cleared it out right there. They could have taken it and "repaired" it and not told me it was something simple.

I just met a technician and manager Randy at Dyson's in Fairfax. Could not have asked for a better experience. Not only are products great, so are their employees. I was in and out of the Service Center within 30 minutes and my problems solved and questions answered. Thank you once again Randy!

I walked in and was greeted by a rude employee ( a white male with a receding hair line) the guy was super condescending and didn’t let me finish speaking at all. When I asked questions he deflected, wasn’t able to give me a clear answer, and told me to “let him finish”. I felt very undermined and disrespected. As I was leaving the store he raised his voice at me after I told him he was being rude. I expected better from a Dyson store.

I was greeted by the service worker at the store when I came in to repair my airwrap. The service worker was a white guy (with a receding hairline i wonder why), who was very condescending and refused to let me finish my sentence. He was rambling on about how I didn’t maintain the product properly, even though I followed every maintenance suggestion for my product. I was trying to let him understand that but he stopped me with the “lemme finish”, which I found very impolite. From what I know, that is not how you treat a customer. He also kept saying “i’m not trying to argue with you” as though I came in to the store just to argue with a man. As I was trying to have a civil conversation, he kept interrupting and undermining everything I said. Anyways, if you’re trying to get ur product repaired, be on the lookout for this one. He is welcome to let me know about how to maintain my device, but to repeatedly make it seem like I lied about my efforts and that the product is not at fault AT ALL is delusional to say the least. I wish I got his name but I won’t be interacting anymore with a random man that raised his voice at me.
