On February 25th we found out that our 12 year old Australian Shepard Max had a massive amount of cancer throughout his body. So on February 26th we took Max to the VCA Alexandria Animal Hospital so that he could die peacefully. Dr. Bidwell, Christine, Albert and their team were understanding, sensitive, kind, and empathetic through each step of the process. We felt supported and cared for during one of the most difficult days of our life. Thank you for your peaceful care.

This place is not my taste. They only alot 20 mins per visit and they will rush you. You can ask for 40 mins when booking the appointment - which is a new feature.

We recently had to put our cat down over the holidays, but so grateful for all of the support and hard work to help our fur baby live a better life! It ended up being his time, but we appreciate everything the doctors and staff did in urgent care and through the past year to help our senior cat. Including emergency surgery during the holidays. We appreciate all the care and love you gave to Midnight!

These ppl are careless and rough handed. My dog was brought in and the nurse took him back for a treatment without his leash. When he was brought back to the lobby (by someone I’ve never seen) my dog was FRANTIC, the corner of the white of his eye was scratched and he was CRAWLING up my arm and torso in terror. The guy frustratingly said “wheres his leash”? Add to that the nurse who took him walked by and would not give me eye contact. I still had to pay but had to take my baby outside to calm him first. That question was ridiculous - do they not have lead leashes in the back? Also had a Dr say to me “I cant believe you brought your puppy in for this”. Rude and callous for a new dog mom. These ppl aren't animal lovers. Just working with little compassion or patience for patience or parent.
