Zero out of Five Stars, Run, Avoid at all costs.
I was forced to use Geek Squad due to a warranty issue. I even tried a 3rd party, but the piece was too new and not on the secondary market yet. They sold me a lemon, and I was stuck using their terrible repair team. Geek Squad was consistently terrible with communication.
Specifically:
A) They could not tell me which piece was broken on my computer. No specifics were given. When I talked to a representative, they just passed the problem on to another person. Oh, the person at the repair facility knows that. I don’t have that info. Can I contact them directly?, Oh no, you can’t contact them.
B) Their online system actively lies to you. I was stuck on phase 3: We have your parts and are awaiting repairs. When I called them and asked why I was stuck on this for 2 weeks, they reported that they don’t have the parts, they are on back order, and there is absolutely no timeline for getting them.
WORST PART– Return of the computer. After 3.5 weeks without my computer and any communication, I got a FedEx notification about a package coming to me. BUT they are sending it to my old residence. Can I update the delivery address, nope. Can I contact someone at Best Buy to update it for me? NOPE. I literally had to ask the people who purchased my old house to pick up the package for me, and I had to go over and get it.

Wanted to charge me $89 to replace my iPhones battery even though Apple care+ policy clearly states that if the battery’s health is under 80% it is fully covered by Apple care+. Refused to budge even after showing them the official Apple policy and Apple directing me to Best Buy online with a $0 fee.

Believe the reviews. The manager of this Best Buy store is very kind but the Geek Squad staff are rude and dismissive. There was one customer who was telling people to go away because he didn’t want his appointment to be interrupted. But, as another customer, inquired, “Am I allowed to ask a question?” Apparently not. The staff here ignored me and stayed silent as her customer, who was overtime in his
appointment, berated me for asking a question. I took my business to the Springfield location where the staff have always been polite.

Don't go to this store, the service is terrible, the staff is rude, doesn't know what they're doing, the people working there are not professionals. I repeat again, do not waste time.

If I could rate them a ZERO I would. We purchased a new laptop and along with that a service agreement for Geek Squad for $199. I took my laptop (which the plan covers) and waited 4 days to get it back. All I asked them to do was to fix all of the different web sites that automatically pop up that I don't open. I have a wonderful malware service so that was not a problem. No viruses, etc. After waiting 4 days, I picked up my laptop to a great unwanted surprise. Not only does it continue to do what it was doing when I took it in, but not when I turn it on it takes forever and then a black screen comes up that I cannot get rid of. We were so frustrated we called to cancel the $199 service contract. Interestingly enough the rep who helped us said that they have a lot of people cancel. I think the people who work there just like playing around with computers and therefore, call themselves skilled techs. NO WAY!!!
