  I had a terrible experience with the Geek Squad and I do not recommend going there at all. I went in because the apple support team sent me there to fix my cracked screen. I went in one Saturday and they deemed it not fixable and needed to get a new phone. I bought it through them, took them a week to get it in. When I went in to basically trade in the broken iPhone to my new one, I was greeted by Josué. He tried to explain to me the difference between a transfer and back-up and the difference in time and how only doing a transfer would be faster. I explained to him that I had important pictures in my phone and would like to make sure those are transferred over. I felt rushed and he made me do the entire process by myself. He sat me on a table and left during the “so called transfer”. You would think that them being apple iPhone professionals they would make sure of everything and take responsibility of making sure customer service is exceptional and the iPhones are successfully serviced. I kept telling him that my phone kept stopping the transfer, and that it blacked out after requiring an upgrade to the latest iOS. He didn’t even care to look at it and said he would take it back to ask his colleagues. He came back and said that the back up should still happen. And only guided me to “upgrade the iOS”.. again, doing this all alone. Two hours later, he asked me if everything was transferred and I said, “I believe so but my pictures aren’t yet”. He brought his manager (a guy with black nail polish) and he reassured me that my pictures can take a few days to completely be transferred. We are on day 3 and I have not seen my new pictures pop-up. I looked it up and google is telling me that there is a high chance I lost them. Google guided me to check my last back up of my old phone and it indeed paused the back up without me even knowing. Should the “geek squad” employee taken the time to confirm instead of rushing me out, I wouldn’t have lost all my pregnancy photos and my twin newborn photos. I’m so distraught and angry with them. The memories I will never get back is a terrible feeling. They are so incompetent and really screwed me over. I do not recommend them by any means.

  I dropped my Mac Air off and paid the diagnostics fee. Geek Squad mentioned that it would have to be shipped to headquarters and would take 2 weeks to hear something back. 2 weeks later I call and they can't find my computer. After more searching, my computer "had been put on the wrong shelf" at the store and was never sent. After actually shipping my device, they reported that it would costs over $1,100 to fix my Mac. I respectfully declined. I took my computer to Simply Mac and they fixed it in two days for $200. Never go to this Geek Squad, never!
