I've had good experiences with Best Buy in the past but my most recent attempt to purchase some ear buds was frustrating. The display had a misleading price tag on the item. The tag directly under the fixed position store display referred to a less expensive model. I questioned it at the register and was sent back to the display (in the far corner of the store) and found the mistake. There did not seem to be any concern to correct the display. The cashier was not friendly or understanding. I tried to buy local but, on the principle have decided to find the item online. If I hadn't had good experiences in the past, this rating would only be one star.

My experience with Best Buy has been nothing short of exhausting. I tried to buy a Miele washing machine that was prominently advertised on their website, but when I called customer service, I was told the only way to order was to visit a store in person. I explained that I use a wheelchair and cannot easily travel, yet no one offered any accessible alternative. After arranging transportation and going to the store — a major challenge — I was told Miele appliances aren’t actually available in my region, even though the website never discloses that. That’s misleading advertising and a clear ADA accessibility failure. When I finally heard back from Best Buy Corporate, what they offered didn’t fix the issue. Then, about 30 minutes later, I suddenly received a message saying my order would be delivered in a few days — even though I had never placed an order. I had to scramble to ensure nothing was delivered and ended up repeating the same frustrating phone-call loop all over again. Best Buy needs to fix its misleading online listings, its accessibility failures, and its broken internal systems. I’ll be shopping elsewhere — and I strongly urge others to do the same.

DO NOT SHOP HERE. They are not helpful. I bought a PS5 game and at checkout I specifically asked about the return policy. The girl at checkout said “Yeah just keep your receipt and you have 30 days.” I asked because I bought a used PS5 and I wasn’t sure everything would work. Turns out the disc drive on the PS5 did not work. But when I brought back the game the Manager: Patrick who was NOT helpful claimed they can’t do refunds on software. The girl who was at the register before Patrick claimed they can’t return rated M games. So apparently no one knows the policy. Not the first check out cashier not the return cashier and who knows if the Manager Patrick is even correct. Bottom line just don’t buy here they WILL shaft you if you have ANY issues. They don’t GIVE A POOP about the customer. They lost future thousands of dollars that I would have spent on TVs computers Apple products controllers and more by refusing to refund a 40 dollar game back on the same card I purchased with. Thanks for nothing Patrick.

I'm pretty frustrated with Best Buy as a company right now. First thing, around 2 weeks ago, I talked with the call center about setting up installation of remote start in my wife's car. I talked with 3 or so different people and asked multiple times if the parts we were buying were complete and all that was necessary to make installation happen. I was assured multiple times that everything was in order and that I had paid for all the necessary parts. I then got a phone call just days before installation from the actual install bay person saying that, in fact, I didn't have all the necessary parts and that I needed to pay $100 more and that I would have to reschedule the installation because the part couldn't arrive in time for the original installation appointment that I had scheduled. If you are setting up any kind of car electronics installation with Best Buy, do not talk to anyone on the phone. They don't know what they are talking about. You'll end up with nasty surprises and they'll waste your time scheduling appointments that can't be completed.

I rely on my computer for work. It is my personal computer and I have paid for the best buy membership since I bought it to make sure I could service it. Just before my total membership protection plan went up I started having intermittent power issues and took my computer in. Because the store turnaround time would have potentially put it outside of the best buy total protection plan coverage i had the choice of paying out of pocket cost for repairs or pay $100 and ship it to the service center. Its been nearly 3 weeks and my computer is not back and I have not been able to locate the package. Today I have talked to 3 customer service agents and a geek squad team member. CS told me geek squad would be able to locate my package but we are 5 hours in and nobody can tell me when my computer will be returned or if they've lost it. Really not sure what I am paying so much annually for if this is how they handle computer repair. As soon as my computer is back I will be canceling my membership and will buy my next computer elsewhere. I feel like CS is kind, but after all day of not being able to get help and being sent in circles I am very frustrated and wishing I hadn't entrusted my computer to best buy. I reached out to best buy through Facebook as they suggested in the reply and they're still unable to locate a return date for my computer and now I am being told the person helping me is going out for the weekend and nobody will be able to provide the update I asked for at 930 am until possibly Sunday. Not sure what this means or what happens next but this has been an absolutely horrible experience.
