I've been coming here for approx 5-6 years and they have been awesome to me and my furbabies. It can be difficult to find a good veterinary service, but Oquirrh Animal Hospital has surpassed my expectations. Everyone at the front desk are kind, considerate and professional. Dr. Mott is amazing!!! Dr. Nemanic has been great too. Let's all be kind to one another.

Been coming here for many many years. I did not know Dr Vaas had left the clinic. My dog had the unfortunate experience of seeing Dr Cannabal. He is awful and I'm not even sure he likes animals. My dog immediately cowered when he came in and I should've left. He made my dog cry/yelp with an ear cleaning and allergy shot. A routine visit for him. Apparently, I've heard this from several people who no longer take their pets here. Stay away from him.

We have been patients here for 5+ years and have normally been very pleased with our experience and treatment. Lately, it is impossible to get an appointment and when you call, the receptionist is rude and seems put off to even want to help you. I was told that they can't keep Veterinarian's on staff to take appointments. I could not believe she told me that! So unprofessional! We obviously will not be taking our precious animals back there. They do not care anyway. It is really sad, they used to be such a great clinic.

Not a very competent bunch here. Claimed my five year old female 69 pound lab/catahoula is "borderline underweight" Didn't bother to review any of the vaccination records I sent them, and gave her several vaccines - that aren't due for over a year - without asking me and then handed me the bill. Definitely never coming back.

We’ve had to come to VCA a lot over the years, unfortunately. Most doctors are nice and empathetic. Most. But the front desk can be difficult to work with depending on who you are talking to. We recently found a couple of accidents outside the litter box, which is very unusual for our cats. So my husband took time off work 3 times over the course of a week to take all 3 cats in to be looked at. We found out 1 of them had a UTI. The doc gave him a shot of antibiotics and we thought he was getting better, until we found another accident. So we need to take him back in, and it’s my turn to do so. My husband can’t keep taking time off this consistently. So I called in to schedule an appointment and whoever I talked to was so rude and snippy. I told her the situation and said the later the appointment, the better. She said that the doctor we saw was only in 2 days a week and her evening appointments were booked out months. Okay, that’s understandable, so I said I’m okay to see another doctor or come in on a Saturday. She said Saturdays are booked out over a month, and if we don’t see the same doctor, “it won’t be considered a follow up appointment so we’ll be charged a lot more for services.” Really? Why does it matter who we see, and I’m punished because the 2 days the doctor is there doesn’t work with my schedule..? They leave detailed SOAP notes.. can’t any doc read them or just ask the patient what’s going on and treat as a follow up since we are following up on a prior issue? If that’s true, then it’s obviously an issue with their policy and not the woman at the front desk. But I told her at this point I just need to find a date and time that works regardless of what doctor we see. She said, “okay I get it, l’m just trying to get this scheduled for you.” Zero empathy or understanding whatsoever. I broke my neck and have missed a lot of work due to physical therapy and chiropractic appointments. And I’m pregnant going into the OB every few weeks. A little bit of compassion and empathy goes a long way, but all she seem to care about is that I wasn’t gonna see the same doctor and couldn’t get me off the phone fast enough.
