I cherished VCA because of the two veterinarians, whom I trust and have had the pleasure of working with previously. However, after losing my dear senior cat, Piithai, the sympathy card I received, signed by only two people, felt like a disheartening reminder that gets harder to see if they truly cared, and it breaks my heart. Although I was informed it was due to the new policy as per the manager, given the manager's past unexplained issue with me, it's challenging to help but feel it's intentional and feels like a test of my faith. Despite this, I'm exploring other vet clinics, seeking a place that aligns with my expectations and provides the care that resonates with me.

This veterinary clinic was extremely unprofessional and appeared to prioritize financial gain over the welfare and compassion our pets deserve. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this facility to anyone who truly considers their pets to be part of the family. I also believe the Humane Society on SW Washington should carefully reconsider its relationship with this clinic in Vancouver, Washington, due to the level of care and professionalism we encountered.

Happy to have them schedule me same day since I wanted my rescue addition seen sooner than later, I had an exam for my dog and the staff was overall fine, she had her exam and then they went over recommendations for services and prices, they were more expensive than our usual vet, Vetco and good neighbor vet, I asked about the free exam and free parasite she said “oh I didn’t know you wanted to do that, and the parasite medication is only if you purchase something” I couldn’t find the coupon but what do you know it’s advertised all over for new clients..so I guess they simply didn’t care to have my dog parasite protected even after confirming the new client free exam and seeing that my rescue already wasn’t in amazing condition. The moment they knew we weren’t spending money with them was the moment they wanted to shoo us out 🤔 + staff upon walking in could use some smiles.. I like Vetco a lot! They offer tons of information and I actually learned that my bengals get a totally different vaccination than normal cats thanks to them! Don’t go to vca choose Vetco.

The front end is a group of very kind people. We saw Dr Nanda, who recommended a medication we had on hand. We would try it on our dog for a week, then call if we wanted a prescription for it. On Friday, April 3, 9:03 am, we called requesting the prescription that had already been approved. They said they would call or text when it was sent to the pharmacy. On Monday late afternoon, we still hadn't received a text, so called the vet. They said she was in, but hadn't approved it yet. Tuesday morning, we called again since no approval still. On Tuesday night, the pharmacy texted that the prescription was ready. On Wed, we hadn't gotten a text from the vet about the prescription being approved. I decided to speak with a manager since the front end couldn't easily report this to them. I was on hold for 15 minutes, with no answer of any kind (our previous vets answered and asked if we could hold before putting us on hold). Another attempt was a 10 minute hold. I was given email addresses for the managers, one of which didn't spell the first name correctly, so my email didn't go through. The email I received said they allow 72 for the vet to approve a medication. Would not recommend.
