  Honestly it was scary situation money been very tight but they still offered us help and any kind of way my cat passed away but before then on Christmas we took him in and they helped him gave him medicine monitored him many months pass and it was due to blockish I think even though they tried to help him they knew it was to late with cats know of this to happen they still helped us and supported and we said our goodbyes then weeks later we went to pick him up I miss him dearly but I'm thank for the quick help they sprung into action when I rushed him in that day and he was shaking aggressively in my arms

  I showed up and left my sick best friend in the truck while I went in to seek the help I was so desperate for. Check in was fast and easy with the nice lady at the front desk who was able to pull up my info from an almost 5 year old appt . She showed genuine compassion to me as I tried to hide my tears with a straight face. Then she told me to go get my dude so they could figure out what was going on with him and get him feeling better. I go back outside to retrieve my dog who's groaning in pain as I pick him up and carry him inside. When I got inside I was met by a tall overweight gentleman who started asking me all the same questions I had just answered for the nice lady at the front desk. When I was done explaining what was going on, he looked down at my dog who's eyes are screaming for someone to please help him , then looks up at the clock and says "yeah we only have 45 minutes left so you'll have to take him to an emergency clinic, or bring him back in the morning cuz we dont have time to deal with him right now!!" .......I could not believe what I was hearing. 45 minutes is more then enough time for an exam and to run some tests to find out why my dude couldn't stop shitting liquid for the previous 3-4 days. When i realized that he was really telling me to leave after just being told to drag my poor dog in there so they could fix him, I was flabbergasted!! So I picked him back up, still groaning in pain and apologized for lying to him on the way in. Maybe I'm overreacting, but this was a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE and I would not recommend that anyone go there especially not if you're desperate for someone to help because they did the exact opposite of help! I just hope they get rid of the lazy and heartless because they don't belong in the veterinary field!! Update: He is now much better and is living his best life! No thanks to VCA

  I came here at 0930. With a dog that has had a UTI for 3 weeks. She hasn't eaten and has had very little water for 2 days. My concern it possible kidney infection. Ive been pretty much ignored this whole time. I asked for a sample cup to get a catch. The lady upfront hand me a paper disposable bowl. The kind you put chili in at a baseball game. So I go out catch some urine in ( not a clean catch). I wait 3 hrs. I go in and ask what the results of the sample is. They said they send it out. So I look at her and ask how do you diagnose? Do you wait however long for the results? Crazy. Then I ask how much longer and told your next but im not. This happened a few times. Yes if an emergency comes in. Absolutely they go first. This was not the case. I wont be back here again. As I write this I'm still waiting.

  Yesterday was our first experience visiting VCA. Our senior dog developed an extremely large abcessed growth overnight (and of course on a weekend) in his throat/neck area that was affecting his mouth, drinking and breathing and was in danger of bursting. We live in an area with minimal access to emergency vet care and was told by our regular vet's on call service to seek emergency treatment immediately. We chose VCA because of other' positive experiences in our community. What an amazing experience. Dr Joynt and vet tech Kyle took such great care of our dog Miles. Miles was in pain and just miserable and Kyle was so sweet to him. Dr Joynt spent so much time with us examining Miles and then explaining the results and getting us options for treatment. We were given all prices for options up front, so there were no surprises, and we were given guidance in options but did not feel pressured. The cost for an emergency visit, treatment, tests, and medications was very reasonable considering our circumstances. We didn't feel rushed and we were talked to and treated like a friend. It was worth the hour drive to be seen by VCA.
