  In May we took our 17 year dashound to this clinic and had bloodwork done. Because he had lost weight and displayed trouble getting around. Our dog sometimes didn't get to the potty pad in time. We had started using male wraps (diapers) on him. We asked if he had kidney failure. We already knew that he had joint problems in his hips from his last vet. We went to VCA because Banfield didn't have an appointment for a month. VCA had the vet records from Banfield. VCA told us that our dogs heart sounded strong. They called and said all his bloodwork was great for a dog that age. But they never sent his bloodwork. On Friday at 1 PM our dog vomited and couldn't drink water. He had trouble walking, was disoriented and confused. When he drank water he started coughing and had trouble breathing. I called VCA for his records to take to an emergency vet. Our dog died on Friday of kidney failure, coronary heart failure, and pneumonia. The bloodwork from VCA had 3 markers in the danger range including overall platelet and one indicating kidney stress and failure. My advice do not go to VCA. One of the most painful moments in my life is watching my adult autistic daughter holding our dog to her chest as he let out death moans as she sang the Golden Girls theme song "Thank you for being a friend . . ."

  I want to thank Dr. Adams and everyone at All Critters for their caring and compassionate help as we we dealt with our little Dachshund's terminal cancer. Dr. Adams was always available on the phone or otherwise to answer any questions or concerns during that difficult time. Belle is gone now and she will be forever missed, but we will also miss those that took such good care of her for 16+ years. We have been taking our pets to All Critters for nearly 30 years; 2 dogs, 4 cats, and 1 Guinea pig (they don't do small animals anymore), so if/when we get another dog, we'll be back! Rick H

  I guess I should name this place a lucky home for lost pets! I got my lost dog from here, and was told some other people found theirs here too. Because people trust this place, so they send lost pets to this place.
