On June 2, 2026 Lacey VCA euthanized my dog at the request of my rapist. The man who raped and strangled me, drugged and trafficked me requested that Lacey VCA, Dr. Bower euthanize her, an 11 y.o. yorkie-poo whose medical report according to their own records, had osteoarthritis and an unexplained "injury." There is NO vet recommendation for her killing, just that my abuser "didn't have the money" to do the recommended treatment Dr. Bower suggested. I called when I found out on June 4, 2026. To be clear I am listed on all of the paperwork as Coco's other "owner," yet I was not only notified of NOTHING before they killed her, but they cremated her before I was notified, therefore disposing of the evidence of his abuse of her, while we are in ACTIVE LITIGATION. I called, obviously distraught that they did such a cruel thing and I spoke with the office manager Jennifer Tefft, who showed ZERO EMPATHY. How do you have people working in a place where they lose their family members, and you behave the way Jennifer has? And it doesn't end there. Because I was TRAUMATIZED to learn of this killing of my beloved family member, I told her that a court order would be needed to release Coco's remains. I went into the office June 9, 2026, as I came into town for only one day. I wanted to offer a solution - that her ashes be split. Jennifer was there. I told her a brief summary of my case, as I was visibily shaking, because being in the same area as my trafficking rapist was terrifying for me, yet Jennifer remained straight faced, showing no empathy for the murder of my dog, and told me they couldn't release Coco's remains without a court order. Seven days later - Lacey VCA released her ashes to the man who abused her and authorized her murder. I only came to realize this in the last couple of days. On August 14, 2026 I emailed Jennifer. She ignored me. I called and spoke with whomever answered the phone, unformed her I was recording the call FOR LEGAL PURPOSES, and she informed me that they released my dog's remains to her abuser/murderer. I live out of state, for my safety. Jennifer Tefft refused to release half of my beloved pets remains to me June 9, 2026, claiming they wouldn't release her remains without a court order and suddenly their legal team says they can? Well, Lacey, VA if your office manager Jennifer Tefft had actually listened to me when I told her, in the office on June 9, 2026, that this is a serious case maybe you wouldn't find yourselves named in my federal lawsuits. On June 9th, I told your unempathetic employee, Jennifer, that this is a FEDERAL RICO case that I am building. A CHILD TRAFFICKING RICO CASE. That would have probably been important information for your "legal team" to know before making a decision that now holds you liable and attaches your business to a RICO case involving child trafficking. If I were you reafing this, I'd not go to Lacey VA because they only need ONE signature to kill your pet and if you are married to an abuser, when you escape, Lacey VA will help your abuser continue abusing you by murdering your pet, denying your pet the opportunity to see her mom before she was killed, then treat her distraught mom with contempt, and ultimately deny her mom the chance to get her remains since the abuser is now using her remains as LEVERAGE to extort money from me. I don't know about you, but that isn't the type of place I'd want "caring" for my beloved, furry family members. Shame on you Lacey VCA, Dr. Bower, and Jennifer Tefft. If nothing else, Lacey VCA kills pets just because they become "inconvenient."

The worst… I LOVED Dr Kida at the VCA in Tanglewilde and they closed unfortunately. Transferring my dogs care over to the Lacey location has been a nightmare. Let alone getting them in, I don’t feel the staff or veterinarian care. My dog was sick and they just said sorry can’t see them, where as Dr Kida immediately would say yes bring them in at once. Will be transferring care and not returning

Dr Bower is so great! She took good care of our pup who needed an annual. The clinic was kind enough to provide an estimate of things that were discussed & allowed us to make an informed decision! The prices are great & they love the animals
