- LPLena PascaleAug 11, 20241.0I no longer feel comfortable leaving my dog here for boarding. They leave the dogs unattended for more than 12 hours at a time. My dog came home very thirsty and very hungry. Staff is easily confused. At drop off, doors were locked and lights were off at 7:35am. They open at 7. When someone finally came to the door they said their staff didn't show up. During their designated pick up times, waited 8 mins at the door for the staff to arrive to let me pick up my dog. When I asked what their protocol was in an emergency while the pets are alone for more than 12 hours overnight, they said "oh we've never had an emergency". When I said what if there is a fire, they said "I guess the fire department will come". So basically, the dogs will all just die in the fire I guess? 🤷♀️I can't risk leaving my dog at a place that doesn't have the proper staff for care. Additionally, twice now they have improperly labeled my dogs medication and once they have her a vaccine that I told them she was allergic to and it induced a severe breathing allergy and required me to go an emergency vet. Yea...I'm done with this place. The original owners must be devastated at what VCA has done to the once thriving and lovely practice. Such a shame.
