We are conveniently located in downtown Haymarket on Route 55 (Washington Street), with easy access to Gainesville, Bristow, Warrenton, and surrounding areas. We are a full-service facility offering wellness exams, vaccinations, hospitalization, surgeries, dental procedures, therapeutic laser treatments, digital dental radiology, ultrasound, and daytime emergency care, as well as boarding for cats and dogs.

- KWKatrin WiesnerJul 22, 20261.0They were great until they completely failed our Finley by MISDIAGNOSING HIS GLAUCOMA FOR TWO MONTHS. It's conjunctivitis, it allergies, back to conjunctivitis. Finley had his eye removed yesterday by an eye specialist because my gut told me there was something more going on based on his behavior. I repeatedly told Dr. Lucy that there is SOMETHING WRONG. She did not listen. She threw her 15 years of experience in my face and told me "not to worry so much." Turns out there was plenty to worry about. By the time we saw the specialist, the pressure in his eye was 66! Normal is between 12 and 20. He was in a tremendous amount of PAIN FOR WEEKS as the pressure increased! We were given an aggressive treatment plan by the specialist to try and save the eye but the damage was already done. DO NOT TRUST DR. LUCY FOR DIAGNOSTICS. We trusted VCA Healthy Paws and now Finley is paying the price. His eye is gone, he has weeks of healing ahead of him, and we had to pay $3,800 to end his suffering.

The entire staff treated us with genuine care and respect, and they made sure our dog was comfortable and surrounded by love. Even though they had only known him for a few hours, it was clear they truly cared about him. Their empathy, patience, and professionalism made an incredibly painful experience a little easier. We will always be grateful for the love and compassion they showed us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

The clinic is also an extremely well-run operation. The staff is unusually attentive, responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful. Our pets are our family, and Healthy Paws treats them that way, too. Specially shout outs to Dr Lucy, Yvonne, and Mitchell! Highly recommended!
