  Well organized. Our cat 💕Geddy 🐈‍⬛🐾🐾🐾was seen within a minute of us walking in the door. Immediate triage and taken back for treatment. Paperwork was after, not before initial treatment.

  My primary vet referred South Paws for an emergency appointment to look at my dachshund who was having sudden difficulty walking. Since dachshunds are prone to IVDD and can become paralyzed without immediate treatment, we were wanting to talk to someone about getting him seen as soon as possible. When I called I was immediately put on hold and after waiting was sent to voicemail. I called back twice and was sent to voicemail again and finally spoke to someone who said the front desk was too busy to take my call but took my number and said the would call back very soon. After waiting over 30 minutes I went ahead and found another emergency vet who was able to take my call and schedule me immediately. I didn’t get a call back until the next day from South Paws who left me a message saying there wasn’t anyone working to front desk but might be able to schedule my dog next week? Seems like they are short staffed and didn’t understand my breed’s specific issues. I don’t know how their service is if you can get an appointment but this initial first impression is a big red flag for me.

  I had my puppy come in. He was very uncomfortable. Amanda took amazing care of him. Her customer service can't be beat. She truly wants the best for you and your animal. It mean't a lot to both my puppy and I.

  Our cat recently had complications from pancreatic surgery and needed to stay at SouthPaws for four and a half days. During that time, the staff and doctors went above and beyond for us. They were patient, compassionate, and answered every single one of our questions. They gave us updates 2x a day and walked us through any changes to our cat and treatment adjustments. Thankfully our cat is back at home and doing much better. I cannot thank the team at SouthPaws enough.

  I recently took my 12-year-old dog to see Dr. Daniel Balogh at VCA SouthPaws for a consultation regarding problems with both of her knees. Dr. Balogh specializes in small-animal surgery, soft tissue surgery and orthopedics. His expertise was evident throughout the appointment, but what impressed me just as much was the time he spent answering my questions and making sure I understood what was happening and why he was recommending a conservative approach. His genuine care and concern for my dog was obvious, and I left the appointment feeling completely confident in his advice and extremely grateful to have found someone I trust with her care.
