Absolutely infuriating experience that is still ongoing. I was told 4 separate times by the ophthalmologist that they sent in prescriptions for multiple medications that my dog really needs. All 4 times that they claimed they sent in prescriptions the pharmacy has had absolutely no record of anything being submitted by the ophthalmologist. I gave the ophthalmologist the name, address, phone number, fax number, and email for the pharmacy but they still did not send in the prescriptions. My dog has now gone nearly 2 weeks without the meds that he needs, and as a result his condition has worsened and his pain has increased dramatically. Go elsewhere

If I could leave no stars I would, I called these people last week and I still haven’t gotten answers after they said they would get back to me soon as possible and they never did. As from other reviews I’ve read this place’s only solution is “hearing us out” but not actually providing a solution which is extremely infuriating. I am going in person sometime this week to see if I can get answers. The place also charges way too much for services, my pet was taken somewhere else and got more care done for less. Here is the email I sent them here so you guys can get a better understanding of what’s going on. Good afternoon, I am reaching out because me and my husband are extremely upset with the job you guys did on my pet for his fractured paw. The night we went he was given a cast for his fractured paw. The cast should’ve just been wrapped around the fractured area and not all the way up his arm like you guys did. He’s in Pennsylvania, my dad took him because over there are better and cheaper options to get him the care that he needs. Today my dad took him to a vet over there and once they removed the cast that you guys put on him, there was an open wound where the cast began. The beginning of the cast cut through almost half his leg. We weren’t given any instructions/ warnings about needing to change the cast at all or for a specific amount of time, neither any information about cast care, or what to watch for. Regardless if the cast was on for a period of time, a cast shouldn’t create this deep of a cut into the skin or cause this level of injury ever! (Especially if it’s done properly) This extremely upsetting because we brought him there thinking he would get the best treatment and it ended up just being a result of malpractice, negligence, and carelessness. We hope to hear from you guys soon with answers about this matter as soon as possible. -Thank you (The photo of the red cast is the one he got done at southpaws and the green one is from other place he was taken to that provided better care.)

Very disappointing experience. We spent 6 hours being given hope about our dog’s condition, only for the doctor to eventually recommend euthanasia. The process felt drawn out, emotionally exhausting, and extremely expensive. Sadly, we left feeling like money mattered more than compassion and care for our pet. In our experience, they seemed to care more about money than anything else, and I would not recommend this place.

We just saw Dr. Bedard and her team and are so grateful for their care and compassion. My dog Grace needed Opthalmology help and we left with that and much more. She took her time and really helped us map out a plan for Grace that has given me such peace of mind. She's a genuinely caring and good person and as a first time dog owner it means the world. Thanks so much!

Our ER experience was a frustrating mix. While the staff is technically competent and one front desk member was exceptionally helpful, I wish I had taken the concerning negative reviews more seriously before coming here. The communication during a $1,000+ crisis was severely lacking. We waited for hours with almost no updates, which was incredibly distressing while being separated from our pet. While some staff were professional, others on the medical team were rushed and dismissive—meeting our questions with a condescending tone when we just wanted to understand the diagnosis. The inconsistency was jarring; for every helpful person, another was completely unsupportive. Ultimately, if they treat people this way, it makes one concerned about how they treat the pets when they are separated from their owners. Due to these negative factors, I have lost all trust in this facility. I respect that the ER is high-pressure, but technical skill doesn’t excuse a lack of empathy for worried families. I won't bring a pet back here; next time, I’ll be going to VEG or The Hope Center instead.
