  Dr. Belnap and our technician Shanna were wonderful. Both were very attentive to Abby’s needs and made the experience at the vet a calming one. Abby even felt safe enough to take a little nap while waiting. Receptionists were very kind as well. Thanks for all you guys did! Abby approves!

  We took our Frenchie bull dog here because he needed to have soft pallet reduction done and once we got to the CSU in fort collins. They said that they didn't really do anything that it was still super thick and they barely took anything off his noise. They took our money and then almost killed our dog because they put him on the wrong medication. Everywhere we have been to get 2nd options (since his surgery with them) have said he didn't have fluid on his lungs and they were killing our dog. We are super disappointed in our experience here. We will never ever bring another dog here again. Now that we are here in Fort Collins CSU we have to get it done again when VCA charged us $6,000.00 for "already" doing it.

  I have taken my dogs and cats to Cottonwood Animal Hospital for over 30 years. In total (my wife and I run a breed-specific dog rescue), I've taken over 700 pets there. They are without question the most competent, reliable, and trustworthy veterinary service I've known. I especially like working with Dr. Porter and with technician Lindsey Sanchez. They are wonderful to work with and I trust them absolutely! Thanks for being there for us!!

  If you can, take your animal somewhere else. Quick Review: - Poor documentation. - Techs are often misinformed or wrong about patient information. Longer Review: - Had a Vet Tech tell us our dog is up to date on shots, but after a second Vet Tech reviewed minutes later they saw he was out of date on multiple shots. - Visit monthly for a medication but each time we visit we have to remind the staff of our dog's specific issue. No documentation of an issue we bring our dog in for on a monthly basis. - Routine blood work showed an issue so we paid for an ultrasound and multiple blood test. One doctor told us the results were inconclusive. A few months later a different doctor at this location said the results were conclusive of a condition my dog has.

  The absolute gold standard in veterinary care — compassionate, knowledgeable, respectful, and genuinely caring I cannot say enough wonderful things about VCA Cottonwood Animal Hospital and, especially, Mitch. I brought my cat, Cozmo, in during an extremely stressful situation. I was scared, overwhelmed, and honestly unsure of what was going to happen. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with an incredible amount of kindness, patience, and respect. I was treated like my concerns mattered, and more importantly, Cozmos health and well-being mattered. The medical care and professionalism were impressive. Boogie was carefully assessed, including having his heart rate checked, being weighed, and receiving an overall examination. The veterinary team took my concerns seriously, listened to what I had to say, and gave me a clear plan for what to watch for at home. They explained that if Cozmo continued vomiting over the next couple of hours, I could bring him back and they would move forward with bloodwork. I left feeling informed rather than frightened, and that made an enormous difference. But what touched me most was the compassion. They helped me without making me feel ashamed for needing help. VCA Cottonwood Animal Hospital treated me with the exact same dignity and respect that I would hope anyone would receive. They understood that sometimes people find themselves in difficult situations, and instead of making me feel like a burden, they made me feel like I was a person whose pet deserved care. And the fact that they were willing to examine Cozmo and did not charge me for the examination honestly meant more to me than I can put into words. I walked in extremely stressed and worried about my cat, and I walked out feeling like someone had actually taken care of both of us. That kind of compassion is rare. I also want to specifically recognize Mitch because his handling of Cozmo was exceptional. His confidence, knowledge, patience, and ability to work with a difficult cat were honestly some of the most impressive veterinary skills I’ve ever witnessed. He never seemed frustrated or intimidated by Cozmo. He was calm, professional, and completely in control of the situation while still being gentle and respectful toward my cat. This is what veterinary care should look like. Knowledgeable professionals. Compassionate treatment. Respect for the owner. Respect for the animal. Clear communication. After an incredibly stressful few days, VCA Cottonwood Animal Hospital gave me something I desperately needed: peace of mind. I am incredibly grateful to Mitch and the entire team for treating Cozmo with such kindness and for treating me with such dignity. Their professionalism is genuinely the standard I believe other veterinary clinics should aspire to. If you have a pet who is nervous, difficult to handle, or simply needs a veterinary team that will treat both you and your animal with patience and compassion, I cannot recommend this team highly enough. Thank you, VCA Cottonwood Animal Hospital, and especially Mitch, for taking care of Cozmo and for taking care of me during a very difficult moment. You made a stressful situation feel manageable, and I will never forget that. ❤️🐾
