Financial transparency is very low here. Also, they don’t stay true to appointment times - expect to wait. I assume from over booking or staffing issues. I started going here because of the generally good reviews and how easy it is to book an appointment online. I signed up for the “Senior Paws for Cats” care plan. First appointment under the plan went well, second appointment not so much. The care plan doesn’t make it clear how many times you can get the diagnostic testing done. You can only find that is you call to get a PDF copy of your contract. It’s not available in the portal. I’ve included my view from the portal. So looking at my portal I think all of that would be covered. I go in today and they say my cat needs bloodwork to check thyroid and the vet just looks at me…. I’m like that sounds good because I think it’s all covered under the plan. They leave to take the samples with my cat. Then, the vet tech comes back into the room and says “I can walk you out now”. No mention of follow up or what’s next. At the front desk they say I’m good, no fee. Great, covered under the plan like I thought. Then, I’m 10 minutes on the road home and get a text link to pay $315!?!?!?. I call back and they say that’s because my cat already got one set of diagnostic testing within the calendar year on the plan. None of this was mentioned in my appointment or asked for permission to pay this extra cost. They only gave platitudes and no real resolution other than we can just not run the lab work right now if you can’t pay. They said a manager would call me and it’s been 3 hours waiting for said manager. The appointment started over 20 min late, the vet spent 5 min MAX with my cat, and awkwardly looked at me as confirmation to do a service rather than outline the details and formally asking, can we proceed with this cost and procedure. I’m very disappointed with this experience that I am paying $86/month for.

My dog developed an aural hematoma and I had recently moved to different part of the valley so decided to try my nearest vet - VCA Willow Creek. The techs and people at the front desk did seem kind and helpful. My only issue was with the procedure itself (and complete lack of follow up care). For the aural hematoma I was advised to keep the wrap on my dog’s ear for 3 weeks. Within 2 hours of leaving the vet my dog had easily shaken the wrap and bandage entirely off, despite never being let off leash. My dog was in immense pain and the ear was actively bleeding so, the office now being closed, I called the after hours number. They provided zero help whatsoever. I decided to take my dog in to the emergency vet as the only option. At the emergency vet, both the tech and the vet - separately and unprompted - commented on what a terrible job the VCA Willow Creek vet did. They told me that was a terrible way to wrap the ear and they used a better approach (the new wrap had stayed on for 24 hours now). They also noticed that I was given the wrong size head cover for my dog and that’s why it fell off so easily. Lastly, they asked to see the discharge information provided by VCA Willow Creek. The emergency vet was shocked that there were basically no care instructions, nor any pain med prescribed!! Thankfully, the emergency vet was able to provide pain meds, fix the ear wrap, and provide the right sized head cover. Despite the staff at VCA Willow Creek being very friendly and polite, the actual vet service was genuinely very poor and I feel so terrible having needlessly stressed out my dog when the procedure can apparently be done much more effectively elsewhere.

I have a few doggos and they always take great care of them and make sure they are well loved. My oldest Stormy can be a little picky about males sometimes and the staff was so so good with her during her spay and the overnight stay! Never leave here disappointed!

Saturday puppy socialization class with Kris is wonderful! There is a good mix of bigger and smaller dogs so that your puppy can become comfortable and confident around different breeds. Kris is amazing at knowing what is normal puppy play and what needs correction. My puppy was very nervous the first time we went, but he is so much more confident now. He loves running around and playing with all the other dogs!

Bringing home an adorable new puppy can also bring unexpected fear and frustration as they grow. I am incredibly grateful to Kris and Willow Creek for creating a safe, positive play environment at the Saturday puppy socialization class. Her expertise and understanding of canine behavior have benefited the puppies and the parents who are fortunate enough to attend her sessions. The groomers are also amazing with my puppy and senior dog who have both received excellent care for routine vaccinations, dental and surgery services. The boarding, puppy preschool and stay & play have been a huge help with my sometimes-crazy schedule!
